You’re both so blinkered and smug. It’s no wonder you’re freaking out. Try to relax. |
Lol. It’s the Matrix guy! Nothing is here, nothing is happening, just vote Mamdani. Doo di doo di doo di |
Wrong again. I’m LMAO! We all know how this is going to end. And it will end quickly and swiftly. |
They’re both in my neighborhood, which is of course famous for…20 year olds who are secretly rich and wake up at 11:53 am. Anyway. Three months ago, the good Senator Chuck tried to have an impromptu meet the people moment at the grocery store and was totally stunned when people started snapping at him: “do your job!” He’s an unquestionably intelligent man who has slowly and then faster and faster refused to grapple for power that benefits his constituents, has refused to meet with those constituents (NYPD outside of his doorman extremely secure coop all the time), and otherwise is now a self-regarded untouchable. Lander isn’t a youngster and while he’s just a man, he has integrity and always puts himself on the line. He has mentored people like Shahana Hanif and his office takes calls and constituent concerns seriously. TLDR - that would be amazing. Dare to dream?? |
Yes yes your talk of the smoldering towers and your pisspants fears re subsidies for busses and groceries really gives a sense of joy. |
He's a clown show but I'm sure he's popular with the demographic that pays zero tax but happy to demand free stuff. Sure, vote him in, see the money and business flee and the rest of the city will be forced to wallow in the mess - again. Then the adults will have to come in and clean up NYC - again. |
Please do not compare the best president of the past 50 years to this joker. Obama was a centrist and center-right on immigration and social issues. He is nothing like Mamdani. The only people who called Obama a communist were actual racists who were afraid of him because he was black. Obama ran on a platform on trade and foreign wars that wasn’t much different than Trump’s and gave an award to Tom Homan. His social views weren’t that different from a moderate Republican like Joe Scarborough. Mamdani is a left wing lunatic compared to Obama. If you’re comparing them you are just doing so because they’re not generic white guys. |
..and in this fantasy world, this is who you think voted for him? People that live in New York City that do not pay taxes? Fascinating. And this “free stuff,” is it in the room with us now? |
Lol. True. Now that you see it you really see it. Lol |
Except the people paying zero tax and getting “freebies” mostly voted for Cuomo. Maybe for once step back and realize that maybe the upper middle class who overwhelmingly voted for Mamdani want a social safety net for everyone, want to protect the cab drivers and laborers who have built this city and want access to subsidized childcare and and hosting that this rich city is more than capable of providing. But your lack of empathy and humanity can never make you appreciate this perspective and you would rather continue being a pawn in a billionaires game than wish for a brighter future for our future generation. |
Yep. Led by Basement Bro and Matrix Guy. Though, I wonder if Basement Bro is actually Matrix Guy. |
This entire post is untrue. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. The young white privileged voters who are supported at least in part by their parents won Mamdani the primary. It remains to be seen what will happen in the general election. |
I hate to say I almost want it to happen just to see the inevitable fallout. |
Once the UMC gets over their virtue signaling and sees the impact on their paycheck they will feel differently. Giving politicians more of our hard-earned money to waste will not build a brighter future for anyone. But go ahead and enjoy your state-run grocery store, just don't expect the Wegman's experience while waiting in line for your allotments. |
100% correct. Correction to another poster: Mamdani is demanding FREE childcare, not subsidized childcare, you freggin liar. Stop already. You’re boring. |
