Didn’t JM testify that Officer Link or an officer entered the house? When Jennifer McCabe was upstairs waking up the Alberts, she came down and saw the officer in the house. Am I remembering that correctly?

I grew up in a similar town in the same county (Norfolk County), and I can tell you that connections to each other made all the difference. When I was a teenager in the late 80's we'd get pulled over by the cops and they would first ask who was in the car. I can't tell you the number of times they took our beer and let us go because someone's dad/uncle/brother was a cop, or just because they knew your dad from high school.

I don’t know if she did it. I did know one of the higher level police officials involved in this case-- not super well, but well enough to believe that he wouldn't intentionally railroad her. It sounds like some of the witnesses gave the police bad information and the case was built, in part, on false testimony. What a mess.

Did he investigate anything when he walked in? Or did he just interview everyone together (unrecorded) and walk out?

I was talking about Trooper Proctor/MSP investigators. Not some random from Canron who is bffs with the Alberts.

Yup. Officer Lank and Chris Albert have been literally friends for a lifetime. Those Galvin Middle School bonds run deep.

Canton PD recused themselves so why does Officer Lank of Canton PD entering the house matter at all in terms of a thorough investigation being done?

I have been listening to McCabe’s testimony for most of the day and she is so GD annoying she is not helping the prosecution at all.

I don’t get all the testimony about “butt dials.” What is the point that is being made? Is it just to show that witnesses were not telling the full truth?

Or is it somehow indicative of something else and if so, what? I get that the defense doesn’t need to show proof of something else happening to cause the death, but what could the phone calls have to do with it?

You don’t think Higgins (guy who was PO’d at JOK, claims he went right home after the party but lied about going to the police station at 1am) and Brian Albert (homeowner) butt dialing each other at 2:27 am while Jen McCabe googles “hos long to die in the cold” at the same time isn’t sketchy?
