Please never change, y’all. This is some of the funniest, saddest attempts at oneupmanship. |
| I don't have anything to do with the school but I think Burke's record this year is super impressive, as the parent of an artistic kid looking at different lists......Burke ( small school) managed to get kids into SCAAD(2), Oberlin Conservatory, Berklee School of Music (2), Parsons, NYU Instrumental Music, Trinity/Columbia Film school --while at the same time many impressive admits on the academic/science side--2 to Carnegie Mellon, Haverford, U of Chicago, Wellesley, Smith, Wesleyan(2), Bryn Mawr etc. |
| Why are so many GDS kids going to Colorado? |
Quality of life. It’s a fantastic place to go to live. |
Mmmkay |
My guess is that with the 10 application limit, it’s seen as a good solid safety. If they don’t get into Michigan, CO is a good option. I’m guessing there would be far fewer kids going there if they allowed more apps per kid |
It’s also a top 10 school for future teachers. This makes it popular with education majors. |
It’s amazing that people continue to make this comment knowing (or at least you should by now) that matriculation at top schools has little to do with education outcomes and more to do with wealth. If you’re looking at these pages thinking the top 5% at private are somehow kicking the tails of the top 5% at public, then come on down, we have a bridge to sell you. Get over it and just celebrate the kids success. |
