It doesn’t seem particularly relevant, more sensational than helpful. Also, I’m not completely sure but it sounds like he was a supporter of nudists’ rights rather than an avid nudist himself, but again it’s irrelevant. It wasn’t a nudist colony though. It’s just a thing people do. I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen a random guy riding his bike down the Embarcaderro in a g string or seemingly nothing (wasn’t looking that closely). Some people just like being nude and if it’s legal, they partake. It doesn’t make them more likely to assault anyone. You might think it’s weird, but DCUM is also largely anti tattoo as well as anti nudity, so I think DCUM would find many things about how people present themselves in SF shocking.

It wasn't a nudist colony. You clearly haven't bothered to look into to this at all and you seem to believe that having been a nudist a decade ago means this guy is automatically some sort of lifetime liberal. Never mind that people change over time and this guy's more recent activities are well documented and show him to be immersed in MAGA ideology. Notice that the naked woman with the strap-on has "9/11 = inside job" written on her. I believe the woman is the one who is in jail now that some are saying is his ex-wife. I'm not sure they were married because there is also a picture of the two of them at the woman's marriage to another man with DePape serving as best man.

Why is this relevant? Are you trying to imply nudism is a left-wing thing? You need to learn some history.

Did you know which country has some of the longest history of nudist culture? Germany. That's right, the country that gave us Nazis was into nudist culture well back into the 19th century. And during the 1930s some nazis embraced it as well. It's not necessarily a liberal/conservative thing. Plenty of crazy right wingers who are into nudism.

9/11 being an inside job is a left wing theory. They blame Bush for it and you can see that if you look behind the woman at what's written on the wall. It was also very popular among by college professors. Conservatives know that OBL was responsible, but wasn't the only person to do so. Blind Sheik was just as dangerous. The mother of his kids is in jail because she attempted to abduct a 14 year old child, amongst other charges. He was living in a hippie bus on the Berkeley property in the weeks before the Pelosi attack occurred, according to his neighbors. Statement from one of the neighbors to the press:

“I wasn’t surprised because another crazy story is coming from someone in that house,” La Coste said. “They are always toxic and always up to something. They are always on the news and trying to be ‘activists.’ They always want to be in the spotlight.”

The guy's recent activities are in question. You have referenced the 'wayback machine' prior and it's well-regarded. That tells a different tale re: Depape.

Frankly, I think this was a heinous act by a deranged, drug-addled homeless man. I feel for the Pelosis in this regard. The political use is what I find reprehensible.

I think the news should be reported as-is. An honest media does not decide what they feel the people should and should not know because it might send the 'wrong message'

If we are to take Depape's statement at face-value, he states flat out that when the police knocked on the door, Pelosi ran to open it. Once you open the door and are THISCLOSE to two police officers inside an open door frame, you keep on going. You don't have a hammer grab fight.

So either Depape is telling what he believes happened (and he's mentally ill and prone to delusions, according to those that know him) or there's another version of what happened. The police have that version on their body-cam (if they were wearing it).

A statement by a mentally ill man was released as truth. Let that sink in. Yes, he needs to be charged and I'm glad he was. But if you believe that his version was not a combination of what actually happened and what happened in his mind, you've being doing the same hard drugs.
