Black September. |
Antisemitism is based in envy of Jewish success, and in a lack of religious tolerance, nothing more. In the countries where Jews experienced pogroms and persecution, they did nothing to provoke them; they had lived peacefully among the local populations for centuries until political tides turned against them, typically during periods when governments looked for minority population scapegoats to explain failed economic policies. Anti-Palestinian sentiment is based on not wanting to live anywhere near people who opt for terrorism, violence, corruption, and perpetual poverty over over peace and a stable, successful civil society. We all know about the so-called nakba excuse but 77 years of failure to thrive and that's still all they have. |
No, it's not. You and the pp above sounds utterly stupid and uneducated. For the first pp, Jews did not cause trouble in Europe ever! They were forced into professions by restrictions placed on them, and then blamed that they were not like others! They could not own land, they could not participate in million things, they were left with a handful of professions that they were allowed to do. You two MFs are doing the same that was done to Jews for millennia, blaming the victims. For the second pp, Jews were not all successful and people were not envious of Jews! For one successful Jews, thousands upon thousands starved. STFU! |
Germans killed millions upon millions of people, all over Europe, not just the Jews. Yet, we are not going around demanding Germany stops existing and murdering Germans. Get on with the times. |
What issues were the German Jews causing when the Germans started the Holocaust? I think the word you're looking for is "scapegoat." Palestinians on the other hand keep turning on their host country wherever they go. Look up Black September. |
Antisemitism, Islamophobia, Orientalism, and every other type of bigotry stem from the same source -- racism and intolerance. White supremacy, Zionism, Aryanism, and every other ideology that promotes one's own group over others are similarly motivated. Blaming Palestinians for their own predicament is no different from blaming Jews for the Holocaust and is similarly vile. Israel has stolen from and abused Palestinians for decades. |
A very illogical response. Who is demanding that Germany ceases to exist or murdering Germans today? Many feel that a free Palestine should exist and want Israel to stop murdering Palestinians. |
Have you seen the before and after pictures of Palestinian captives released from Israeli jails? They look haggard, emaciated, and many show signs of torture. Some have been brutally raped. But I guess that's OK with you because ... ethnicity and religion. One of the reasons the captives held in Gaza are so thin is because Israel destroyed food sources within the enclave and blocked aid trucks. This was a war crime and a deliberate strategy. Nearly everyone in Gaza was/is hungry. Children have died of starvation. The captives would not be in this state if Israel had demonstrated a modicum of humanity. |
And now Israel is doing exactly the same to Palestinians, who, even if they are Israeli citizens, cannot buy land in much of Israel. |
You can't "both sides" this. UN Resolution 181 was not only unfair to Palestinians but was implemented in a way that the UN had not envisaged. The UN did not anticipate that the IDF and Zionist terrorist gangs would embark on a campaign of genocide to reduce the Palestinian population within Israel's borders. It was assumed that Israel would administer the land, much as white South Africans ruled South Africa during apartheid. The UN issued Resolution 194 to try to undo some of the harm done by Israel's ethnic cleansing. To this day, under international law, Palestinian refugees are allowed to return to their old homes/land or receive compensation. You can't pat Israel on the back for accepting the resolution that favored it while rejecting the many that don't. By the time the Arab states declared war on Israel in 1948, the genocide had already begun. |
Black September didnt lead to the mass expulsion of Palestinians, only the PLO. Jordan is still largely Palestinian to this day. The idea that Palestinians are hated and mass expulsion in the Middle East is a strange and comical theory to put forth given Israelis were expelled from the ME because of the Palestinian expulsion in 1947 with the Nakba. Obviously, the region prefers Palestinians over Jews, but they had no problem with Jews prior to the creation of Israel. The Zionists in Israel also hated Jews from the Middle East as well and tons of Mossad attacks happened in Iraqi synagogues in the 40s and 50s to force them out. People like Ben Gvir's parents probably left to Israel during this time believing Arabs attacked them not knowing the attacks came from Mossad in order to increase Israel's population. Two groups had to become refugees and flee their homes by force n order for Israel to work: Palestinians and Mizrahi Jews |
Actually, the two are quite different. Jews in Germany did nothing to provoke the German government. They were simply part of German society, albeit practicing a minority religion. Palestinians, in contrast, have done nothing to help themselves in 77 years, and actively and frequently attack Israel. Israel understandably and reasonably counterattacks and takes other measures, like erecting physical barriers to contain the attackers, leaving the Palestinians worse off every time. Israeli restrained responses end well short of fully exterminating their attackers, leaving them free to re-arm and try again. There is no comparison between the two. |
Israel is an unnatural experiment. It requires a hostile region to exist. With a fully secular ME or at least Ottoman era nonchalance, how many Israelis would stay in non-oil rich Israel and how many would pack their bags to become oil barons in Kuwait or UAE?
Israelis want to leave to the rest of the ME more than Palestinians do. Israel's existence relies on not being friendly with any of their neighbors. It's not a natural country created under natural conditions. Refugees came to the ME, made the natives refugees overnight, and brought the rest of the Jewish diaspora who were successful and doing well in the ME by force into Israel to fight in the IDF against their fellow Arabic speaking brothers. However they cant become prime minister or anything beyond a military general in the so called democratic and fair country of Israel |
i suggest you not try submitting such inanity to your professors; you'll be laughed out of your classroom. |
