Out of a bad marriage, now being slutty

Anonymous
I'm mid-30's, got out of a really bad marriage with almost no affection, no touching, no sex. Five years later, there are lots of dating apps, and I've been using Tinder and Bumble to hook up. Anyone else respond to their divorce by being a slut?

I've been using the dating apps but not for being "slutty"--because I generally prefer my own company to that of someone who doesn't do it for me. But I wish I was a little more less contained so if you're having fun, then go for it. It's what they're there for.

How is this being a slut? You're divorced, have fun, stay safe and that's all.

You're an adult. You're not a slut for enjoying sex.

I was like this too. Just enjoy yourself and stay safe OP. Do it because you want to feel alive and be touched, not because you're lonely or desperate. Let your friends know where you're going on dates. Get your drink from the bartender and hang onto it.

I'm 41 now, happily married with 2 kids. My one night stand became my future DH!

Not divorced but I assume the one big perk of getting divorced is getting to sleep around.

What woman refers to herself as a slut? You sre either a MRA troll or need to get some self respect. Enjoying sex =/=slut.

Point taken, not a troll. But I can enjoy sex for a week and own the term "slut" for a short time and feel empowered by it. Being too uptight for too long makes the idea of being slutty pretty appealing at the moment.

I'm in 40s and wish I could do that. But have sole custody of young child and no time for that. Also petrified of something going wrong.

You sound like you have issues. Still characterizing female sexuality as "slutty" at your age? Sad.

Oh, get off your high horse. Society categorizes female sexuality as slutty.

Yup. And men love sluts

I also wouldn't call it slutty. The only concern to me, ethically, is whether you disclose to partners that you want to keep things casual and temporary, rather than ever leading someone on.

Otherwise, enjoy.

So much easier for the recently divorced women to have casual sex than for the recently divorced men.

Newsflash (to self): genders come with different pros & cons.
