Out of a bad marriage, now being slutty

Point taken, not a troll. But I can enjoy sex for a week and own the term "slut" for a short time and feel empowered by it. Being too uptight for too long makes the idea of being slutty pretty appealing at the moment.

Slut is not an empowering term under any circumstances.

Is there no limit to the amount of men a woman can sleep with it before it reaches a level of trashiness? (since there's so much backlash against the word 'slut') As long as they use contraception and have safe sex, the sky's the limit?

I could be OP. Separated 6 months rs in a sexless marriage. My DH had been my only sexual partner, we met in college. I'm actually really, really, really enjoying all this dating, making out, and sex. So far I've only hooked up with one guy, but it was amazing and felt wonderful.

Lots of folks get out of bad marriages (or even decent marriages) and decide to sow some oats for awhile.

Just be safe!!

I wouldn't call it being slutty, but I've been sowing my wild oats for two years now since I left a bad, sexless marriage. Not doing hookups, but I had some FWBs and a lot of uninhibited sex. Currently swinging and exploring all sorts of sexual adventures with my boyfriend... It's definitely the most liberated, exciting sex I've had. Wouldn't have thought this would be my middle aged sex life! Enjoy your post divorce debauchery ?

Same here!

Now I am getting ready for some new experiences. PP, was it strange that you had only been with one man? How is the quality of sexual partners out there? Also, if you don't mind, what is your age (range)? I am 41.

Why on earth should anyone care how frequently a single, competent grown woman has sex?

Yes, the sky's the limit. Zero is fine, too.

Find a married or divorced WF!

Why not just any F?

Because single Fs might want a commitment.

Sorry ladies, but exiting a sexless marriage then banging everyone in sight and taking the moral high ground is a real stretch. Accept that you're a slut and hope that you come to your senses and find someone you can have a real relationship with. Good luck with that.

It's not about frequency, it's about the number of men. If OP said she'd had sex with 50 men in the past year, I would think she was acting like a slut.

The point is that what you think doesn't matter. OP doesn't owe it to you to be a "good girl" or whatever passes for not-a-slut in your book. How do you draw that like, anyway?

Any future husband (if any) will care.

Chances of her finding a quality future husband will drop as the number of men who plough her now increases.

If a woman conducts herself like she may as well be asking for $300 after each session, she just might be a slut. (Hypothetically, of course. Not saying the OP specifically)
