My thanksgiving yesterday!

| We were hosting this year. Our 14 yo girl sees my brother going at it with my husband's sister in the basement. Both of them are recently divorced, one with a 7 year old kid! So she comes upstairs, calls me to the side (we are entertaining, seated in the living room, some of us including my MIL, my other sister in the kitchen etc) and tells me what she saw. Initially I am too stunned to believe her. Then I tip toe downstairs and hear their conjugal sounds. I call my husband out from the game room where he is with his dad and other brother and he loses his shit- he marches downstairs, coitus interruptus, and kicks her sister out on the curb. Craziness ensues- MIL faints. my other sister and her DH leave in a hurry. My turkey stays in the oven and is ruined. My husband has turned red and mouthing profanities including calling her sister a slut (evidently she cheated which led to the collapse of her marriage). We bundle all the kids upstairs but the older ones are giggling by now. Husband, MIL & FIl finally calm down. His other brother brings up something about cutting the inheritance and more craziness ensues. SIL and I are too stunned and I call it quits by 530. We all get pizzas for dinner. Will NEVER EVER forget this thanksgiving. |

| I just cannot stop laughing after reading this. Something similar happened to us 9 years ago. We make it a point not to invite any extended family since then. |

| Why did you feel tne need to interrupt two single consenting adults? Wouldn't it be better to later speak to your brother and the when and where of his hook ups and that DD saw it? I'm not getting why this is a whole-family issue. |
