Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

"The film recounts the early exploits and later unravelling of a fictional 18th-century Irish rogue and opportunist who marries a rich widow to climb the social ladder and assume her late husband's aristocratic position.

In 1773, Barry takes the Countess' last name in marriage and settles in England to enjoy her wealth, still with no money of his own. Lord Bullingdon, Lady Lyndon's ten-year-old son by Sir Charles, does not approve of the marriage and quickly comes to despise Barry, openly calling him a "common opportunist" who does not truly love his mother. Barry retaliates by subjecting Bullingdon to systematic physical abuse. The Countess bears Barry a son, Bryan Patrick, but the marriage is unhappy: Barry is openly unfaithful and enjoys spending his wife's money on self-indulgent luxuries, while keeping his wife in seclusion.

...the final scene (set in December 1789) shows a middle-aged Lady Lyndon signing Barry's annuity cheque as her son looks on."

And that is how this will end too, with Harry writing her alimony checks. She will move on at some point when the attention fades and/or Harry wises up that like a leech, she's destroyed his life to improve her own social standing.

Look at Charles’s siblings - so many of them are useless f#ckups, don’t have jobs, have to beg Charles for money, don’t have their own voices, etc. They are trapped in the palace walls and can’t live elsewhere.

Why do you think Fergie and Andrew still live together? They have nowhere else to go or any money to survive.

Harry has set the template for Charlotte and Louis to chart their own course once George has a family.

Aside from a divorce, Anne's life seems pretty solid. Edward's had some stumbles but seems to have a fine life now.

Andrew and Fergie are a mess because Andrew and Fergie are messes

Disagree. Edward has all the trappings of someone being permanently trapped in the closet. Right down to the questionable “roommate” in his youth. Anne seems content with her lot in life but is a future hoarder. Saw some thing that showed her living room. So much clutter.

I mean, is he so stupid that he didn't know ahead of time that she'd need help with royal protocols, couldn't he have double downed on her requests for mental health help (and also really who just EMAILS about that stuff??)?

My husband made the point just now that I guided him on how to behave around my foreign family in a foreign country. I told him he needed to, like, take his shoes off at the temple, what to do when we visited my grandparents in their small village, warned him about the squatty potty, LOL. Where was Harry in all this???

Where can I stream the interview?

I agree. This interview was an absolute embarrassment. Only a true narcissist would think it a good idea.

Lordy, you know nothing about the BRF. Sparkle Markle’s whinging will be a bonus for the family and the tabloids. I think it is kinda cute that she thinks anyone cares what she has to say. She is dusted and done.

I’m Latina/white and very fair skinned and my partner is AfroLatino. It was heartbreaking and nothing I ever wish anyone else to experience.

I'm lilywhite married to a dark brown man. In all three pregnancies, we always mused about what the kids are going to look like, including their skin color. Husband didn't seem put out by it. Surely it's natural to wonder about what the kid of two different-looking parents will look like? More like you or more like me?

Ehhh this is different.

Agree it's different. If it were innocent speculation, Harry wouldn't have shut the door on sharing those conversations.

Or Meghan was just looking to take offense at every little thing.

It is like they are hoping something bad happens to them like Diana. This is horrible. I was thinking she was being petty about Kate. The security thing is what is really showing how awful the crown is

There is no purpose to removing their security other than getting them killed.

Diana lost her protection officers and drivers in the divorce and was killed within 12 months.

Whoa. That's right.

None of this rings true, or her claim that she didnt google him when they started dating..c'mon!

Did she say this? Because that may be the most ridiculous thing I've heard in this dumb saga, and that is saying something.

Anonymous wrote:Maybe this is a dumb question, but if Harry speaks so fondly of his grandmother then who is making the decisions harming Harry and Meghan? Charles? Wouldn't the Queen squash all that if she disagreed? Or is Charles running the show now? I'm confused.

Because Harry agreed with all the decisions "harming" him. He didn't want any of that, the title for Archie, security, etc. He wants freedom, freedom from all of it.

Found it so telling he said he’s talked to her now more than ever. Because Megain wrongly believes they need her ear. I’m sure she says yes yes dear then hangs up the phone and does what she’s meaning to anyway.

You’re really grasping at straws here.

And in the context of all the death threats they were getting. WTF? They're cutting security to their own grandson/son/brother, who is getting regular death threats? It's shocking for "the firm" to do that, but it's also family.

Especially at a time where everybody knew where they were. The firm/ royals are worse than I thought

I don’t buy any of that shit. Did you watch the Crown? They definitely helped.

But, he’s 6th in line to the throne not a potential future Queen like Kate and Diana at the time. The training isn’t invested so far down the line, but protocol definitely was.

Would the protection officers have made her wear her seat belt? Lord, the obsession with victimhood on this thread.

Great interview that really delivered. Wonder how the monarchy will modernize seems like a missed opportunity with Meghan
