Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

I mean, is he so stupid that he didn't know ahead of time that she'd need help with royal protocols, couldn't he have double downed on her requests for mental health help (and also really who just EMAILS about that stuff??)?

My husband made the point just now that I guided him on how to behave around my foreign family in a foreign country. I told him he needed to, like, take his shoes off at the temple, what to do when we visited my grandparents in their small village, warned him about the squatty potty, LOL. Where was Harry in all this???

Yes. If it’s actually true that she knew nothing about this stuff—which I doubt—then it’s on Harry. 100%.

I basically think that if you went into this hating them and thinking she's a narcissistic opportunist, you'll come out thinking the same thing. If you went into this thinking the BRF is a bunch of racist classist a-holes, you'll come out thinking the same thing. This didn't change anyone's mind about anyone.

Personally, I think both things are true.

I’m Latina/white and very fair skinned and my partner is AfroLatino. It was heartbreaking and nothing I ever wish anyone else to experience.

I'm lilywhite married to a dark brown man. In all three pregnancies, we always mused about what the kids are going to look like, including their skin color. Husband didn't seem put out by it. Surely it's natural to wonder about what the kid of two different-looking parents will look like? More like you or more like me?

Ehhh this is different.

Agree it's different. If it were innocent speculation, Harry wouldn't have shut the door on sharing those conversations.

No way. Phillip, yes.

There have been hints that Philip is experiencing dementia, so I sincerely doubt that it was he having serious, racist conversations with Harry.

If he has dementia, then he very well havr lost his filter and I eould not be surprised if he had some racist outbursts here and there.

Philip has long history of making inappropriate remarks, independent of dementia.

Honestly, I don't think Philip saying stuff like that would inflict the kind of hurt that she and Harry alluded to. He's a 99 year old man who has lost his filter. I thought it was William, but maybe it was Charles. That relationship sounds worse than I expected, per Harry. His father stopped taking his calls!

Probably because Meghan was the one actually calling.

What in the world do they expect to get from this? It only deepens the wounds. I guess since Megan hates her family, now Harry must hate his.

Meghan is bright and well spoken...other than her constantly saying "right?" Who oh why didn't they ask her about her crazy sister bashing her?

Agree with all of this. The only thing I can think of re the Markles is that Meghan doesn't want to attack her 'own' family directly...because like it or not they're poor trailer trash. It would seem unfair. The millionaire and the Prince going after the man forced to retire in Mexico and the 'sister' living on disability who was abused by her husband.

I mean...if we're getting technical, it was still BRF money. It was her divorce settlement

She earned every penny of that settlement.

Team Meghan!!!!! USA!!!!!

She’s clearly suffering from a mental health issue, I feel sorry for her. She needs to be treated and hopefully after the child is born her hormones will rebalance and she’ll recover from this crisis.

Oh, how novel! She is a hormonal, hysterical woman, and of course, double points to you that she is black! If it was not so sad that you are actually propagating tearing women down, it would be so pathetic and so common and predictable.
You are a misogynist and a racist, surely you know that?

You are so tiresome, just yelling racist and misogynist every time someone dares express a different opinion.

Saying that someone who is acting totally rationally is suffering from a mental health issue isn’t really a different opinion so much as it’s a classic play to make someone look weaker, and it has been used a lot against black people.

No, she is pregnant, not looking at her blackness here. Just being pregnant can severely impact one’s judgement and logical thought. I have been there.

So, you are attacking a pregnant black woman? And calling her insane? ANd lacking in judgment! All right then, you are a Lilly white not at all racist or misogynist cause you don't know what it meant to be a racist and a misogynist!

Isn’t she mostly white?

White man from the height of his privilege.

Meghan can pass for white and it seems all of her friends and boyfriends were white, attended private schools all her life, born in diverse and progressive Los Angeles. Clay, a GAY white man from the SOUTH is far less privileged than she ever was.

Lordy, ummm. No. I'm from Raleigh where Clay Aiken is from and they love him there. He's privileged.

Anonymous wrote:Maybe this is a dumb question, but if Harry speaks so fondly of his grandmother then who is making the decisions harming Harry and Meghan? Charles? Wouldn't the Queen squash all that if she disagreed? Or is Charles running the show now? I'm confused.

Because Harry agreed with all the decisions "harming" him. He didn't want any of that, the title for Archie, security, etc. He wants freedom, freedom from all of it.

Anonymous wrote:I used to be team Queen but this stuff is bad. No security or title for Archie? Cutting off security for them in Canada. It is like they are hoping something bad happens to them like Diana. This is horrible. I was thinking she was being petty about Kate. The security thing is what is really showing how awful the crown is

And in the context of all the death threats they were getting. WTF? They're cutting security to their own grandson/son/brother, who is getting regular death threats? It's shocking for "the firm" to do that, but it's also family.

Agree with you, what I've been posting all along. Both sides awful, no-one wins here.
