The Hill had a story that reports of Putin’s death may not be exaggerated but Newsweek cited Ukraine intelligence that it was a Tussian disinformation exercise to see how Russian society would react. I trust Ukraine intelligence much more especially as I believe they collaborate with US intelligence. Putin Death Rumors Were Spread by Russian Officials: Ukraine Intel Nov 01, 2023 at 9:40 PM By Jon Jackson Associate Editor A Ukrainian intelligence representative on Wednesday accused Moscow officials of orchestrating the widespread circulation of false rumors that Russian President Vladimir Putin had died. Last week, multiple Telegram channels falsely reported Putin's death, and these messages claimed that his demise resulted in Kremlin officials scrambling to devise a succession plan. The rumors quickly spread across various social media platforms, triggering the false report to trend. The Kremlin soon found itself responding to questions about Putin's death, calling the rumor a "hoax," and Putin has since made public appearances. Andriy Yusov, representative of Ukraine's Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), told NV Radio that Moscow officials spread the rumors in an attempt to see how the Russian public would react to the news. Yusov said that while Putin's death would be "good news" for Ukrainians, the rumor was actually part of Russia's disinformation "playbook." |
| It's not inevitable unfortunately. The Republicans have become the Trump/Putin fan club and too many Americans think spending money to defend freedom is a waste of money. |
| I don’t believe Putin died; but even if he did, there’s no change in their politics so who cares. |

Ukraine is using US supplied HIMARS to attack concerts: https://www.rt.com/russia/587757-russian-actress-ukrainian-strike/
Anyone else find it odd that Ukraine is using its dwindling supply of western weapons on what are essentially terror attacks? |
I’m not clicking through to RT, but I do find it odd that you didn’t mention it was a concert for Russian soldiers. Not exactly non-combatants. |
Yep, Russian soldiers are legitimate military targets regardless of whether they are at a concert, sleeping, or actually fighting. That’s war. Don’t like it, then don’t attack your neighbors. |
You misunderstood the point. HIMARS, like Storm Shadows, are a long-range strategic weapon of which Ukraine has limited amounts. Ukraine using them in what is essentially terror attacks while getting rolled in places like Avdeevka, seems like a major military mistake. Its the behavior of a country losing and lashing out, rather than one attempting to actually win. Its the V2 phase of the war. |
| guys I am still holding my breath with billions an billions invested...maybe brandon can approve another couple of billion to end this war!!! LOL SMH |
Then you shouldn't have any trouble with Hamas attacking IDF soldiers when they are off duty, should you. |
Brandon is da best. Such a generous soul, some billions here some trillions there. |
Haha yea, its just tax dollars, who cares. |
Why would Ukraine use long-range strategic weapons in a battle where they are within artillery and mortar range of the Russians? Seems like Ukraine is doing just fine in Adviika. Russians have been taking steep losses and gained almost nothing. |
Off-duty IDF are legitimate military targets in a war. Did you think they weren't? |
The whole point of a HIMARS type weapon is to be able to attack second level facilities like ammo depots, command and control facilities and maybe something big and juicy like an AD radar. Ukraine was reduced to using it as a counter-battery system because they were losing the artillery war so badly. Now they've even given up on that and are going for terror attacks. Not that it really matters in the long run, it won't be long before some AI powered Lancet takes it out. |
Killing and wounding a couple hundred Russian soldiers isn’t a terror attack. It’s war. |
