Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates Part 3

Does anyone else find it interesting that they still use their titles, are upset that Archie wasn't made a prince, and yet cry about how toxic the whole family is? Seems a bit hypocritical.

+1. It is pretty amusing. How many times have they claimed to be victimized since their wedding day? By how many different people and organizations? The BRF as a whole, the press, the “racist” family member they won’t identify, the staff who accused Meghan of bullying. The list goes on and on. And how many different jobs are they currently attempting? Podcasters, TV hosts/producers, investors in coffee businesses, executives at mental health start ups. It’s chaotic. They just seem kind of lost.

No, they seem like a boss ass couple. Sorry you and your hubby with your federal jobs can't relate.

My husband and I aren’t perfect, but if I were suicidal, he wouldn’t refuse to help me out of embarrassment. What a terrible partner.

+1. I don’t think even the Meghan stans can deny she will cling to those titles with all she’s got.

They gave one interview.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident -- that all monarchs are usurpers and descendants of usurpers; for the reason that no throne was ever set up in this world by the will, freely exercised, of the only body possessing the legitimate right to set it up -- the numerical mass of the nation."

We have no princes, dukes nor duchesses here in the United States. Nor should we ever.

Signed, We The People (who have no countenance nor patience for the royally titled)

Meh. If I had done as much work as Harry on behalf of the monarchy AND faced ongoing death threats because of my relation to them, you better believe I’d keep any help I could get, even if just a ceremonial title.

It’s amazing they were able to describe so much victimization in one interview. Oh I forgot Kate victimized her too by making her cry. And in the earlier interview from Africa, she was victimized by apparently almost everyone surrounding her including her friends and loved ones: “Not many people have asked me how I’m doing.” It seems the whole world is out to get poor Meghan!

+2 Absolutely. She should have shed her title immediately but she sure likes using "Duchess" doesn't she? Does she really think other Americans are impressed by that? Maybe she needs to go back and re-read history.

Most adults work as hard or harder than Harry ever has and have been paid peanuts in comparison.

I was thinking they could make COVID their cause celebre. Just like George + Elizabeth (the royals they're trying to emulate) had WWII + rebuilding Britain.

But ummm...H+M seem to be getting there first. And she's what? 7 months...pregnant.

Is Meghan organizing this?

Organizing what?

Exactly my question.

She and Prince Harry are the campaign co-chairs for corporate donations.

Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will serve as campaign chairs of VAX LIVE, encouraging the private sector to make donations to COVAX, the vaccine pillar of the ACT-Accelerator, to ensure everyone, everywhere can access COVID-19 vaccines.

“Over the past year, our world has experienced pain, loss, and struggle — together. Now we need to recover and heal — together,” said Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“We can’t leave anybody behind. We will all benefit, we will all be safer, when everyone, everywhere has equal access to the vaccine. We must pursue equitable vaccine distribution, and in that, restore faith in our common humanity. This mission couldn’t be more critical or important.”

So they just issued a statement and...?

Titles are his, by birth. No less his than any of the other made up titles they honor.

Are the other royals endlessly whining?

And the concert with global celebrity + White House participation will be in two weeks. I suspect they're hoping to raise the same amount of money that huge events like the 80s Live Aid concerts did.

A worthy cause.
