Aside from their colossal sanctimonious hypocrisy, the main problem with H & M is that they don’t have any idea what they WANT to be doing. They’re literally throwing a million complaints, grievances, careers, projects, identities, etc at the wall to see what sticks. It’s simultaneously amusing and sad.

Weirdly enough I was thinking about this last night...in the context of the Cambridges. W+K are rudderless and have no real activities to call their own. I was thinking they could make COVID their cause celebre. Just like George + Elizabeth (the royals they're trying to emulate) had WWII + rebuilding Britain.

But ummm...H+M seem to be getting there first. And she's what? 7 months...pregnant.

That’s why the security was stripped, and reasonably so. M and H didn’t like playing second fiddle to the Cambridge’s, and Meghan didn’t want the life of a minor royal in the UK because she was never going to be the star. She saw it as a launching pad to be a rich global celebrity humanitarian, like Angelina Jolie. When she realized it wasn’t going to happen within the structure of the BRF, she decided to leave for Hollywood, where Americans who weren’t familiar with the BRF would lap up the “American Princess” thing and would allow her to trade on that to make $$ (“financial independence”). Her problem was that she thought she could do this while also maintaining the cachet of being a senior Royal, because that’s what drives the interest and makes her the money. She and Harry were told no by the BRF, because working members of the family do not do commercial deals to enrich themselves personally, and that they would have to choose between doing that and maintaining their status as senior Royals. If you’re not a senior Royal, you don’t get security paid for by the family (see Beatrice, Eugenia, Zara, etc.) She didn’t like that, and this is the tantrum she chose to throw about it.

No one would want to be a minor UK royal. There is no financial security whatsoever. Harry just declined the privilege of scuttling his prime working years so he could be left with nothing when his niece and nephews hit 18.

So why is he whining about it?

And what’s happening with Spotify is they’re currently on year 1 of a 3 year deal. Every year they get paid 25 million.

DP. We are talking about podcasts. Podcasters usually put out their content pretty quickly. It doesn’t usually take years.

Has anyone listened to their one podcast? Just curious what it was like.

I havent listened to it but I heard they were just moderating

That makes sense. Someone probably gave them a script and a list of questions to ask.

+1. It is pretty amusing. How many times have they claimed to be victimized since their wedding day? By how many different people and organizations? The BRF as a whole, the press, the “racist” family member they won’t identify, the staff who accused Meghan of bullying. The list goes on and on. And how many different jobs are they currently attempting? Podcasters, TV hosts/producers, investors in coffee businesses, executives at mental health start ups. It’s chaotic. They just seem kind of lost.

Meanwhile the NYT just called out in BRF and basically every line was about how they don't have enough workers. Hmm....wonder why.

For a family that plans funerals a decade in advance, they sure have no plan to handle adult families who won't (Cambriges), can't (Yorks), and shouldn't (nonagenarian Queen) be working.
