I bet he is a "popular" neighbor, by his own doing. Let me guess, he blames everyone else, and tends to try to deflect for his countless shortcomings? Do tell! |
My experience is different from yours, we’ll se I guess. |
P.s. wait til he puts his character in issue re sentencing and all the neighbors who’ve seen his “act” (asshole) may line up to rebut his character witnesses... |
DP. That’s not the point. He wouldn’t have, but someone else might have. Should awfulness or appropriate punishment be based on what side of the political spectrum the victim/perpetrator are on. |
I truly hope you don’t mean that. If that were the punishment meted out for what he did, prisons would be filled to the brim with people committing relatively minor, in the scheme of things, offenses. You can’t give him 30 years because he happened to be pissed off by BLM instead of any number of other things. |
Anyone have proof he’s a Trump supporter and this is political? And that he’s not just an angry man? |
He will get community service. His life is ruined at least here. |
+1 |
He is a registered democrat.

This guy is so full of sh!t. His apology is bullsh!at. And he's clearly behaved like an utter POS many, many times before. Oh, but he was on his way to repent and talk about Jesus. Mmkay. But with all the circulation, it's amazing that yesterday morning, he still had no idea what the police could be interested in (or his kids). What's next, an amnesia claim? - - - - - His attorney said when Brennan left his house shortly after 8 a.m., Friday, riding in the passenger seat of his adult son’s car, neither he, nor his client were aware Brennan was considered a suspect, or was under surveillance. “He couldn’t find his pastor at his own church, so he decided to go look for a priest on his way to my office,” said Jezic, saying his client intended to go to Holy Redeemer Church, on Summit Avenue, in Kensington. Near the church, Brennan’s son allegedly ran a stop sign, and was pulled over by Maryland-National Capital Park Police, in the church parking lot. Anthony Brennan was asked to get out of the car, and to be photographed. He agreed. According to Det. Lopez, the police officer “asked if Anthony Brennan knew what this was about, he at first stated he did not.” “When they asked ‘are you the bicyclist,’ he said, ‘My lawyer advised me not to speak about the subject,'” Jezic said. |
Note that he was on his way to Holy Redeemer - I'm not surprised. That's a very conservative Catholic church and many people who live in the immediate vicinity send their kids to school there. I'm Catholic, live nearby, would never consider it for my family. It's awesome, though, that neighbors and others who knew him turned him in, especially since he was actively trying to evade identification by hiding his bike and his clothing.
I will note as someone who has spent 15 years jogging or walking along the extension of the Capital Crescent trail in Chevy Chase as well as Beach Drive in Kensington that many if not most bikers in this area are rage-a-holics (and white men.) I once saw a biker hit an elderly person's leashed dog and pedal away from the scene, screaming at the dog owner. |
are the bikers in chevy chase training for the tour de france? |
His Irish catholic guilt probably had him registered as a democrat, but I bet he still voted for trump. |
Everybody is tearing this guy a part. I would bet anything he is not racist. Just like everybody else in the area he is probably liberal and lives a normal life. Probably does not have a racist bone in his body. But he is a cyclist, which means he is crazy. He was probably just mad the kid was blocking the bike/pedestrian path for a second. Have you ever watched the behavior of cyclists at Key Park next to the bridge? I am pro cyclist safety, but they are crazy and bring a lot of the car nonsense onto themselves. (not the deaths, but the cyclist vs auto road rage) |
Take your cyclist hate to one of the many cyclist-hating threads on DCUM, please. It doesn't belong here. |
