NEW YORK REPORTS 437 NEW DEATHS, 12 STRAIGHT DAYS OF DECLINE IN CORONAVIRUS HOSPITALIZATIONS BY EDDY RODRIGUEZ ON 4/25/20 AT 1:35 PM EDT |
This is correct. The reason we are seeing the prolonged high plateau of deaths is other states are peaking. Texas just had its highest death toll yesterday. |
And they’re about to open back up. |
Trump moves the goalposts
So...we went from zero to 50,000 to now 100,000. This, sadly, will make a great opposition campaign ad, because, without the social distancing, the testing and eventually a vaccine, and now with states opening up, there isn't really anything from stopping these numbers. At the current rate, it will be over 100,000 by the end of May, and then at least another 100,000 each month, with states "open" until there is a vaccine. |

Upsated IHME is 135,000 deaths
https://www.cnn.com/webview/us/live-news/us-coronavirus-update-05-04-20/h_18a3fa30e62fa417f6402308aaf3c55b Totally avoidable and now with the "reopening" which accounts for some of the rise, I think over 200,000 is more realistic. |
“totally avoidable” in a worldwide pandemic Did you learn epidemiology at Fantasy University? |
Had Trump followed this thread, simple math and logic, he would have gotten all his predictions correctly. One poster predicted the exact date to reach 6000 deaths. 100,000+ deaths were predicted here a week ago. |
All we had to do was the same thing South Korea did. It wasn't hard, but it took leadership and a will to succeed. I guess in your world, it is ok to simply throw up the hands and say "oh well" |

It's almost like there is something to hide
https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/496016-white-house-prohibits-coronavirus-task-force-members-from-testifying Now no testimony before the Senate either. |
And Germany, Greece, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand ... It was not that hard. But it would take lots of hard work which a reality TV man is not capable of. |
Blocking testimony is his signature move. |
not really peaking, just starting the ascent. |
| The numbers are being manipulated as Democratic governors keep trying to control the population. The jig is up. |
Whose jig? It's so comforting to think this epidemic is just a political ploy. Instead of an epidemic that has killed 70,000 Americans and 250,000 worldwide, likely at least twice that if not more. |
