He may not have planned to kill her but I do think he intended to beat her into submission.

Why else wait until she had dropped all five kids off at school at 8:05am?

Why break in, wait in her garage and not the front door?

Why violate the restraining order?

I don’t doubt he wanted her dead and out of his life but the cover up seems slapped together and rushed. He’s not a dumb guy and he had many ways to clean things up with his job in construction. All those machines trucks warehouses etc. but this seems like a total panic and involving the GF? WTH it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure she’s going to flip to save herself.

Didn't someone say something earlier in this thread about construction noise at one of his work sites in the middle of the night?

What I don't get is what was in the huge number of trash bags that he deposited all over town? I mean, 30 bags worth of paper towels? That is a lot of paper towels! Have they done DNA testing on them?

If I was on the jury, the surveillance tape showing him + gf dropping off the trash bags (containing paper towels with Dulos's DNA) all over town would be all the evidence I needed to convict on murder charges. I mean, he can say her death was accidental all he wants. But where's the body, why did he drop off multiple bags filled with blood-soaked stuff all over town, and why didn't he call 911 if the death was accidental?

Laying in wait seems sufficient for premeditation.

Still here. Good luck with a murder conviction. Both suspects are confirmed liars. How do you which story is true?

A jury may not believe the gf was innocent, but that won’t mean they will hand Fotis a not guilty.,

They aren't going to convict either of murder unless they know exactly who committed the murder and with what. I suspect we will shortly get both suspects pointing to each other as the "real" killer. "I am just guilty of helping him/her of covering up his/her crime because I feel victim to their charms."

That has never happened before. The police and prosecutors will be completely stumped and drop the case.

It's happened before and a murder conviction was not the result. Good luck with getting anything more than illegal disposal or other ancillary crimes.

+ 1 million (Norm Pattis wouldn't want me on that jury.)

Exactly. No innocent person would behave that way. Their actions demonstrate consciousness of guilt.

I'm the poster who mentioned the neighbors at another of his work sites in New Canaan hearing loud bangs in the middle of the night 16 hours or so after her disappearance. It's unclear to me whether police have searched that site.

So I wonder if her body was burned in the Hartford incinerator? So sad. I don't know what they're telling those kids, or if the kids are going back to school in New Canaan or staying in NYC. I feel for them.

Yep. No one has ever been convicted without a body. Not ever.

Children still live with the maternal grandmother, who is quite wealthy, so I'm assuming they are going to school in NYC where she lives, not New Canaan where they lived with their mom.

Keep moving the goal posts. Originally, you wanted a conviction of murder. Now you believe any conviction is a win. The problem is these lesser crimes are misdemeanors or low grade felonies that don't involve much jail time.

Are you on the spectrum? I didn’t think I needed to specify FOR MURDER, since that is what we are talking about.

Thomas Capano murdered his ex Anne Marie Fahey and dropped her body in a large cooler off the side of a boat. He blamed his current mistress, who admitted she had provided the gun. No one believed that, and he went to jail for Anne Marie's murder. Now the murderer's brother, who had helped dispose of the body testified, too. But even so, they have DNA and blood proving that Jennifer is dead, and they had none of that for Anne Marie.
