Evergreen will start practices next week

Good for them.

Cavs and EVG have own fields so easier to schedule practices.

VLC 2022 must be having issues. They are looking for goalies and fogos. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBjJM9ABdJn/ Did they lose their goalies as well as their attack and middies? I heard a bunch went to NL. I guess kids are getting desperate with a missed season, running to a winner or many winners because VLC certainly isn't looking like one.

Unless your kid is a goalie or fogo, why would you care? Drop the bitterness. Not sure the goalie and fogo are jumping ship - the whole tourney schedule has pushed to right - families have vacations planned, etc.

Question - what kind of a person sees an Instagram ad recruiting for a certain position and then runs to DCUrban to make this sort of post? You don't need to be a trained psychologist to know the answer.

Why not comment on Instagram? Oh yeah because then they know who you are. Probably a rival club

Clearly a rival club doing a bit of sh*t stirring. As a VLC 2022 parent I can tell you they have been riding one goalie for awhile now and I think they've looked at many others trying to have two solid goalies but not settling for another warm body. I think the FOGOs is in response to the new rules. VLC 2023 also rides one goalie as they are in the same boat. It's a lot of pressure for those kids but so far so good.

And for the rival club poster, probably easy to figure out which former VLC 2022 parent you are considering 3 kids went to Next Level in the last year. Hope your son shoots overhand and Next Level or it might be time for Evergreen or Cavs.

Have a good summer season in whatever form it may be.

A VLC 2021 defender just announced his commitment to Middlebury.

Congrats to the kid. Great school in a great conference. I was always a bit surprised that more kids in the area didn’t seek to play D3 at the “academic” schools. Yeah, no $, but the help in getting admitted to elite schools like Midd is priceless.

Congrats to the player and VLC. I think this may be the only commit so far for VLC 2021 and the team does have a fair
amount of individual talent based on what I’ve seen. If true, that would be a huge drop off from say, the last 4 years running. The butterfly effect of COVID is head spinning.

Didn’t one of their players commit to Loyola?

Alas, he was a former player. Left after freshman year.

It’s a puzzle as to why more kids (athletes or not) from the DMV don’t look at the NESCACs. In NOVA, part of the challenge may be getting parents to look to spend 70 grand/year when UVA, WM and Tech cost less than 1/2 that.
