Nikki Haley - What are the chances

That's a fine list of "losers." Says a lot about you. Sure you aren't Trump? You talk like him.

Poor Nikki. You can watch Republicans orbit the truth, though she’ll never be able to arrive at it. Come on, Nikki! Turn yourself and face the truth! You’re so close.

I guess Nikki is understanding how craven her party has become. Sad, she now realizes they think her husband is a "looser" and she is the "sucker"

Sad.

I hope she stays in until the convention be because she is a burr under his skin. After convention she should run as either an Independent or "GOP Second choice sane candidate ."

Agree. I hope she's in talks with the Liz Cheney wing to do just that. It would take A LOT for me to pull the lever for Nikki Haley, but if she fully repudiates Trump and is on the ballot I might do it.

Why not just vote for Biden?

PP here. I will say this even though people don't like it - Biden is an old man who is not all there. Trump is an old man who is not all there and is crazy and dangerous to boot. I trust the people Biden hires to maintain stability, and stability is what I value most at this time.

I believe Haley would also bring stability, and she's not an old man that's not all there. I am heartily sick of the gerontocracy running things. Nikki Haley is the type of person we should see running for President. But as I said, she'd have to officially repudiate Donald Trump and go the way of Liz Cheney. So that's a lot of ifs.

Exactly. This is what the misguided Trump and Biden sheep fail to understand. Some people believe there should be standards that have to be met in order for someone to be considered for the most powerful job in the world. Trump and Biden clearly don't meet any rational standards for the POTUS position and therefore many of us won't be duped into voting for them again. The RNC and DNC folks can whine and throw temper tantrums all they want but until they run legitimate presidential candidates, many of us won't reward them for their failures by casting votes for their way.

Nikki is being propped up by some wretched people. She is more dangerous than Trump.

I’d rather Biden or Trump in the grave than Haley . She would definitely not bring stability. She ran SC to the ground during her tenure. Hundreds or thousands of poor people in SC (of which there are many)died during her tenure because she refused to expand Medicaid to oppose Obamacare. When asked once, she said something along the lines of that poor people can just go to the ER when things get serious but don’t need insurance. Essentially, she was saying they should die. The same thing she’s saying now about Social Security . She thinks everyone should work till they die and the retirement age needs to be expanded significantly.

South Carolina’s roads were in terrible shape and with the Obama era Recovery /Reinvestment Act, 1 billion dollars was offered in aid to SC . This was desperately needed federal money to repair bridges and roads and Nikki Haley refused the money.

The roads continued to deteriorate and a gas tax had to be added in 2019 as the roads are now costlier to repair than they were a decade ago

Without recycling the same two examples from the last five years, how is Biden in real decline? What would he have done differently if he weren’t? I see true evidence of Trump’s decline, even from four years ago. The spark, irritating though it was, is gone. He’s playing the same record, but it’s just not the same. And not only is Trump in decline with a family history of dementia, but also he’s unfit. He’s still inexperienced (for all that he forced himself on us to disastrous effect for four years), he’s a criminal, he’s a traitor - his trying to overthrow the government strangely doesn’t figure into your “both sides” math, he’s a treasonous POS.

The GOP is leagues and leagues worse. It is the Mariana Trench of bad, and you know that. You know that Ms. Nikki up here would be pretty much as bad as Trump, but you like the GOP’s politics, so you have to be dishonest and “both sides” them. Why? Because then you think you can drive Democratic voters to vote third party. Nope. Not doing it. Not for the forced birther POS Nikki who has said she’d pardon Trump. Republicans suck. Every last one of them.

Should anyone want to pretend that Nikki Haley is somehow a decent person, just yesterday she said she’d pardon Trump if she gets into the White House. This after Trump mocked her spouse. https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/news/nikki-haley-pardon-donald-trump-us-election-b2498415.html

I have no respect for Republicans.

She said that she would pardon Trump to bring it us together and to rid the country if it's divisiveness. Pardoning Trump would be akin to the parting of the Red Sea!

Nikki Haley seems like a good middle of the road choice and she has a background in government.
Any thoughts? MAGA crazies need not reply.

No chance. In a country that couldn't vote for a white woman. And this is a candidate from the GOP - anti (insert a minority group here). They're going to vote for a woman, and that Haley? One day folks one day we'll get there.

She isn't a middle of the road candidate. She has spent the last 6 months kowtowing to Trump and only now has made a few swipes at him, but will still vote for him if he is the nominee. She is willing to sign an abortion ban, so no thanks, not middle of the road, just not full on crazy MAGA.

That’s what Ford thought he was doing pardoning Nixon. It was so unpopular it may have lost him his election, it didn’t bring people together, and it emboldened the GOP and made Republicans think they could do anything without consequences.

That and Haley has touted other fringe things that most sane Republicans have enough sense to stay away from, like deep cuts to Social Security.

Nikki Haley would get a lot of soldiers killed with all the wars she would start.
