Nikki Haley - What are the chances

Agree. I hope she's in talks with the Liz Cheney wing to do just that. It would take A LOT for me to pull the lever for Nikki Haley, but if she fully repudiates Trump and is on the ballot I might do it.

Why not just vote for Biden?

All you Hayley lovers, are you gonna be ok when she ends up endorsing Trump? Because she will.

PP here. I will say this even though people don't like it - Biden is an old man who is not all there. Trump is an old man who is not all there and is crazy and dangerous to boot. I trust the people Biden hires to maintain stability, and stability is what I value most at this time.

I believe Haley would also bring stability, and she's not an old man that's not all there. I am heartily sick of the gerontocracy running things. Nikki Haley is the type of person we should see running for President. But as I said, she'd have to officially repudiate Donald Trump and go the way of Liz Cheney. So that's a lot of ifs.

For me, I will not vote for an anti choice candidate.

Because they want the dystopian vision that the GOP is selling. Nikki said she’d pardon Trump and she hasn’t said she won’t enact Project 2025. She’s as bad as every other Republican. She’d engage in the time honored republican tradition of fealty to Trump after his mocking her spouse. Republicans suck.

I agree with you except the big prob is that she is not the sort who has the guts to stand up like Liz. Look at her history. When she's running for the big office sure, she'll do whatever she needs to win but in times of stress, she folds. She's a politician and maybe that's just how it goes - to be a better person would mean she declines this opportunity. Let's face it? Not that many want this job. Not anyone with any real integrity on either side of the aisle. I think she's a legit candidate but don't give her that much credit to think she's actually has any strong integrity. You look at a persons record and you can see their patterns. It's never just the one time.

Hard pass on her. She claimed racism & discrimination does not exist. Meanwhile in her biography/book, she tells a story that when her parents first moved to South Carolina, the owner of the home made them promise not to sell the home to an African American family. Her family is Indian by the way.

Her father also could not get a job at a white university or institution and was only hired by a HBCU (Vorhees College). There was uproar in the white community when they found out that her dad was working at a historically black college.

The mere fact that she claims racism & discrimination never existed in the states, despite the fact that her father was discriminated against is laughable.

This is the kind of thing that makes me dislike her. I’d still take her over Trump any day because I think she’s not crazy and cruel, and could even be competent, but she has not stood firm with her values in order to be liked by republicans. She claimed to not like Trump either then supported him. That’s a big no from me.

She knows about systemic racism and has experienced racism. She's also appealing to her base which doesn't want to hear about it. A mistake imo as she can appeal to many independent who believe in systemic racism and want it denounced.

Haley would sign a national abortion ban into law.

No thanks.

There is always camera time and $$$ in DC for any Republican willing to stab other, more prominent Republicans in the back. See: Liz Cheney, John Kasich, Mitt Romney, John McCain, etc. Losers all.

I am so surprised Judge Judy is endorsing her. She’s very pro choice.

I guess Israel does come first . I think Trump may make her VP. I don’t think he detests her as much as he detests Mike Pence or Desantis

It's the stress of losing all of those legal battles. They've been aging him worse than his first year in the White House. And his legal troubles are only going to get worse. He's been trying to delay anything and everything and the courts have been pushing to get all of this resolved before the elections. With 91 charges against him in so many different courtrooms, between cases, appeals, appeals to Supreme Courts (both state and federal), the stress of the legal battles is wearing him down. He's definitely not going to get better while they are all on-going and so that means this constant decay of his mental faculties over the next 9 months. It's a shame that this has to happen on national network news, but this is what he's bought. Not that I wish him personally ill, but watching his decay into dementia on national network news may be the only thing that saves this country from a second Trump term of office.

I’ve thought about this quite a bit. I don’t know how a 76-year old man can take on so much stress and juggle so many different things at the same time, but he somehow pulls it off. It’s amazing that it never catches up to him. He seems to have no health problems whatsoever. I mean Carl Weathers, who just died in his sleep a few days ago, was the same age as Trump and was in great shape his whole life.

There’s a saying I used to always hear my grandmother in the South say. God always covers/protects the fools and the drunkards. They have nine lives .
