2028 Girls Lacrosse

We are talking about good players making decisions based on their individual situation, and perception of opportunity. Healthy, normal, and good luck to them.

There was movement in and out last year and both teams improved.

This makes total sense and I hope it works out for the players. Every year around this time DCUM predicts half of Pride is leaving for Stars in MS and it never happens. A few leave, but by and large the team stays intact until they migrate to Capital.

Is it possible that this thread has finally exhausted all topics pertaining to girls’ lacrosse for the 2028 year in the DMV?

I expect more Pride players to jump this summer for the next tryouts.

Top players? No.

Pride has picked up good new players over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, each time that happens an existing player sees their role diminished and may look for other opportunities. This is normal churn and should not be read as a general indictment of Pride or endorsement of Stars. Each girl and her parents are making the best decision for them, and that’s the way it should be. If the top Pride players started moving to Stars then that would shake things up. But that is unlikely to happen.

The Pride to stars exedus topic has been beat to death so maybe??

Next topic on the horizon even though it is a year away, will be which high schools will be benefiting most from the 2028 class.

High school attendance will be pretty diffuse overall based on where the top players live, public v private, etc.

That said, word is that SSAS has locked up a good number of 2027 and 2028 Stars players.

Potomac has a nice group of Capital girls the last two years and it looks like a mini-trend.

All of the strongest players on 2028 Stars go to public school. Prince William and Montgomery County.

That is unacceptable. No good lacrosse player is allowed to attend public school. These parents must be poor

By the way, before you yell at me, it is sarcasm. Good for them

The current sophomore class will be Srs. when the 2028s are freshman. A school with a strong Sophomore class will benefit from some of the top 28s coming to be their supporting cast.

And, lots of them will be looking at private schools for high school.

I don’t know that this is necessarily true for the Prince William girls. They will all go to the same high school, if I’m not mistaken. So they may all choose to stick together

Curious to know which of the private Catholic high schools (Stone Ridge, Visitation, St John’s and/or Holy Child) have solid 2028 prospects?

More than 2 now? I’m skeptical considering the history of lies and exaggerations on this forum.

"More than 2" does not appear to have been accurate.
