We are in the same boat here with high scores, excellent report card, pulled out for AAP for reading and math, goes above and beyond at school with teacher comments as evidence of that, but yet a low GBRS. I was shocked when I got the screening file and so were other adults who work with my child. Her 1st grade teacher was completely shocked by the low GBRS and said that is definitely not the same child as in 1st grade. I think the GBRS should be an average from the K, 1st, and 2nd grade teacher.

And here's another (my DC): VCI 130, PRI 131, WMI 116, PSI 106. GBRS 12. Thanks for compiling and let's keep adding the scores to this board. Of course, it's only useful if everyone comes back here and posts their results on appeal after the letters arrive. Cheery and warm thoughts to all who are waiting.

Hi, Here's my info:
VCI 132, PRI 131, FSIQ 131, CogAT 138 Nonverbal, 117 Verbal, Quantitative 120, NNAT 132, GBRS 10, DRA2 38

I'll bite and try my hand at reading the tea leaves. All of the above will get in except 3, 8, and 10. My sense is that a weak VCI combined with a low GBRS is a deadly combination. They figure that kid (even with great perceptual skills) can be adequately served by pull-outs in Level III.

10 might be okay (on the cusp).

VCI 126, PRI 145, WMI 132, PSI 138. FSIQ 145. GBRS 8.

How about 13? I think 3 has better chance than 13.

Some of the technical reports indicate that the VCI (and to a lesser extent PRI) standing alone can justify gifted placement (without reference to FSIQ) if either marker is 130 or higher. The wild card in Fairfax is still the GBRS.

Respectfully disagree regarding 3 and 13. Look at their respective GBRS scores.
