Have you given up on loosing weight? Ugh, midlife fat doesn’t go away.

Seriously??? I’ve been running and biking outside. I have two unvaccinated kids. There are plenty of exercises you can do outdoors without going to a gym.

Anonymous wrote:Midlife fat isn’t magical. I’ve heard that excuse from so many of my clients. It’s fat. It will go away if you change the way you eat and the way you move. I’m 55. I’m the same weight I was at 16. The only time I gained was during pregnancy. I have had to change the way I eat as I’ve aged. People who stay fit and healthy through middle age and beyond are typically health conscious and not fooled by ridiculous fad dieting.

Naah, while maintaining weight throughout makes sense, that doesn't really happen. Menopause kills it. You aren't fully through it.

Sorry. But you’re wrong. I had a complete hysterectomy at 37. I’m way past menopause.

Sometimes I just don't want to weigh, measure, and count calories, I just want to eat and be social, and choose fat and happy. Until I cannot fit into even my fat clothes anymore, and so, I do the work (counting, weighing, measuring), and lose the weight.

Does it ever not seem like work? Not for me, and so, the yo-yoing continues.

This is me too. I lost 25lb and gained it back 3 times since 20 years ago. I think all these yo-yoing is probably not good for my body.

I have never maintained an ideal weight or lost weight without being hungry. Hungry all the time - on my mind several times an hour. I can resist but it is such a chore. It's not a feeling I like. I think some people do not experience this. I have been at an ideal weight about half of my life, and with decades mixed-in when I needed to lose tens of pounds (once as much as 60) Doesn't mater. Same very uncomfortable feeling.

The hunger is triggered by hormones that are released from carbs and insulin. The reason that low carb or low glycemic index diets work is because once you have been on them for a while, you don’t feel hungry. People eat so much less food on these diets. Insulin increases hunger hormones. Read the South Beach Diet book and it explains what happens to your body when you eat high glycemic foods

No. I've read the books. I've lived 60 years. I've done low carb/low glycemic. I know what's needed, and do it. I AM ALWAYS HUNGRY.

I have two kids and I am unvaccinated. My hot yoga studio have been open since August 2020, same is my boxing studio. I go there weekly, sometimes with my kids. There are plenty of facilities that don't require vaccine.

Get on the Optavia diet, power through it to lose the weight ASAP (it’s incredibly effective and if you do it right you can lose all the weight you need. Implement the program right and you will get off of it learning and knowing the techniques to stay at your goal weight. I only gain weight when I do stupid things like eat too much regularly or have huge meals. It restarted my metabolism and although I LOATHE the Food it did work and frankly you can’t get better than that!!! Then work out, get healthy and follow tips like all the menopause diets out there like Galveston diet and so on that will help you maximize your personal ability to stay healthy in your post menopause life. Good luck!!!!

Start recording what you eat in a food diary. And I mean every bite. Also try and eat half of what you normally eat and take slow bites. Up your exercise and include weights.
