I disagree with the others about which names shouldn't return. Sure Bertha and Irma are pretty bad, but baby Barbara is adorable.

Love baby Barbara and Paula! I’ll throw in baby Nancy too.

If we’re going there, I like Cynthia, Sandra, Virginia and Teresa.

I agree with every name you both have listed... except Paula. I just don't like it!

But I think any name can work on the right person. There was a character named Paula in The White Lotus, and she was super cool and her name suited her in a great way. But I don't think everyone could pull it off. I knew a girl named Geraldine in high school (went by Geri) who was not cool enough to pull it off and I always think of her when I hear names like this. She was a really sweet girl but I think she would have been better off with a really standard name like Lisa or Emily or Kerri.

Hate Paula. Sounds awful. Also found the White Lotus Paula to be obnoxious and awful, as many of the Paulas
I’ve known.

I know a gorgeous Geri and a gorgeous Paula. It's sad, but appearance really can influence the perception of a name.

Love t! Very sexy. An Officer and a Gentleman.

Paola is even better -- very Italian.

I don't love the name, but one of my favorite people in the world is named Paula, so now it's associate with her and I like it.

I do really like Petra, though.

No but Paulina is a nice alternative if you’re open to it

Is the name of a horrible person I know.

Paulina and Paulette are both diminutives of Paula. It’s a beautiful name, which only in the US is associated with the male name, in other langua, the male name (ie Pablo) it’s different enough that nobody thinks it’s the same

I don’t love it or hate it, it’s meh. I do like Paulina, though.

I love it. I knew a Paula in high school (I am an older millennial) who was beautiful and kind so it’s a positive association.

Also, DCUM hates all names that are not Elizabeth, Caroline, or Katherine so this isn’t the best place to ask.

The Claudia thread disagrees.

Yeah, the White Lotus Paula was certainly no role model. Good lord.
