Make that millions. |
+1 Deny, deny, deny. It’s how democrats operate. A different level of delusion. |
Like inflation and wage stagnation just suddenly happened under Biden? No. Current inflation rate is under 2%. It was OVER 2% during Trump's administration. It dropped below because of COVID but is projected to stay at around 1.8% for the next couple of years. Also there were big price increases in a number of goods like toilet paper due to hoarding, lumber and construction materials due to a construction boom with people moving, building additions and remodeling because of pandemic telework, and shortages of meat and poultry because of workers getting sick in meat packing plants. And again that all happened under Trump last summer, with ripple effects still continuing. |

It was a dumb, tone-deaf tweet.
They cherry-picked a few items but we all know that prices for ribs, steaks, and other items have gone up considerably. And, the gas prices are quite higher than last year. So, you might save some pennies on the meal, but the trip to get the items will cost you more. I don't know why the WH would want to brag that you can save a whopping 16 cents on items that they highlighted. Did they not know the response would be brutal? |
| An unfunny, infantile tweet. |

Overall the tweet exposes the Republican lie. And I'm sure that's why they did it.
Republicans claim prices have "skyrocketed" but in reality they haven't, it's just the usual dishonest cherrypicking of select data points that Republicans do, it's the usual dishonest ignoring and denying of the actual underlying causes and mechanics of price fluctuation that Republicans engage in... Again, Republicans suck. |
LOL. No. Consumers are already seeing rising costs at the grocery store. Before the pandemic began, the national average for a pound of bacon in January 2020 was $4.72. By last month, that price had soared to $5.11, according to exclusive supermarket point of sale data from Nielsen IQ. The hikes are greater in certain areas of the country. Boston and Philadelphia are paying nearly a dollar more per pound of bacon, while Chicago is up about 70 cents. https://www.today.com/food/pork-prices-set-rise-summer-during-bbq-season-today-t215061

Oh! I didn’t realize NBC, CNN, Business Insider, and the Washington Post were Republican sources! So you’re saying they’re all lying to us? +1 It’s clear the PP is just really, really stupid. How many sources must be presented before she will stop blaming factual evidence of rising food prices on Republicans and the “dishonest cherry picking of select data points”? What a partisan dope. |
Oh look, projection from the right. What a surprise. |
DP. With every post, you are getting owned. Isn’t there a rock you can slink back under while you lick your wounds? |

From Beans to Burgers, Food Is Getting More Expensive
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wsj.com/amp/articles/from-beans-to-burgers-food-is-getting-more-expensive-11623344185 “We’re in a period of unprecedented commodity inflation,” Unilever Chief Executive Officer Alan Jope told investors Monday. He said Unilever would recover some of those costs in part by selling smaller packages of some foods at the same price as a larger size. Higher prices on grocery-store shelves and restaurant menus are part of a broader rise in inflation. U.S. consumer prices surged 5% in May from a year ago to reach the highest annual inflation rate in nearly 13 years. More expensive used cars and trucks fueled the increase, according to Labor Department data, and prices for furniture and airfare also jumped. Food prices are rising because of the higher costs for labor and transport but also ingredients including corn, soybean oil and wheat. Supermarket executives said prices they pay for beef had gone up from 20% to 40% depending on the cut. Keith Milligan, controller of Piggly Wiggly grocery stores in Alabama and Georgia, said the company was passing much of the increase on to customers.“ I don’t understand how the pp who claims food prices aren’t higher continuously denies the fact. |
13 years ago was when we were coming out of the last recession. |

The prices here in the Midwest don't seem any higher than last summer. At least the supply is back.
Gas prices are a bit over $3, but that is typical for summer. And I am fine with it. I would have paid ANYTHING to have that raging a**hole Trump gone. |
