WH tweet about saving sixteen cents on July 4th cookout food turns controversial

Great. The WH is encouraging people to eat processed pig meat. Such leadership. I guess this will create an even greater need for their govt. health care plans. Keep the people fat and sick so they depend upon our benevolence.

Gas prices are a bit over $3, but that is typical for summer.

And I am fine with it.

I would have paid ANYTHING to have that raging a**hole Trump gone.

Good for you. A large portion of American people and families however can’t afford to buy groceries now, though.

Inflation isn't the difference here. Were you worried about the poor people under Trump?

Why would I care who is president when caring about struggling people/families? It’s not just the poors being hurt by this issue. Working families are struggling as well, even though they aren’t “poor.” Tell me if Trump had put out a victory tweet about saving sixteen cents you would not have been sickened.

Can you imagine the mocking? This is nothing compared to the reactions Trump would have gotten. The tweet was tone deaf, corny, and just plain stupid. Fail.

I don't get the indignation. Trump boasted plenty about the big beautiful economy he (thought) he built, and American families were struggling then, too. Did you get up in arms about it then as well, or is it only when there's a Democrat in the White House that you dust off the fainting couch?

It's only when there's a Democrat. These are country club republicans, not the working poor, whining and moaning on this thread, in between Googling how fast their BMWs are.

There are very few country club Republicans anymore. They became moderate Democrats.
