Yep. She’s a turncoat. Not even born or raised in Red China and she decides to stand proudly against her own.

What? Don't be silly. Skaters country shop all the time. It's perfectly rational to decide, if I compete for country X, I'm unlikely to get out of sectionals as the competition is too stiff. But if I go compete for country Y, I'm likely to place in top three nationally, which means a trip to the Worlds or Olympics, plus probably cheaper and more abundant ice time. It happens all the time! And unless you're new to this game, the US did the same for Tanith Belbin, who is Canadian, by not only giving her American citizenship but freaking EXPEDITING it so she could represent the US at the Olympics, where it would have finished out of medals without her. Come on. Enough with the chest thumping. You don't understand this game.

Hey look, Kristin Fraser, a California girl representing Azerbaijan!

Tim Koleto has skated for the US, Norway, South Korea, and now Japan.

She also trains in Beijing, which is the capital of China just in case a closed mindset person doesn’t know anything outside of the USA.

During the last Winter Olympics, wasn't there an Amercian skiier who skiied for some other European country and she got laughed out because her routine was so basic? But at least she got to ski in the Olympics!

I get Eileen Gu and that other skater being able to represent China because they have connections but how are some of these white Hockey Players able to play for China when they have zero connection to China? Jake Chelios, I'm looking at you.

The hockey thing is insane. Lots of Americans on the two Chinese teams.

Wrong!! She started to train in Beijing since she was 8 or 9! Her family friend runs one of the biggest skiing training center in Beijing. In case you have no idea, Beijing happens to be the hometown of her mother -bozo

So fine, let's just have athletes compete at these games but not "represent" any countries. Otherwise what's the point of saying Country X got this many medals, Country Y got this many, when some of the medalists aren't even from there?

Did you ask this question when Osaka represented Japan in Olympics or US Open? Why don't you make noise back then? huh? She doesn't even speak Japanese!

Go check yourself - how many immigrants competed for US in Olympics? Including China born athletes competing for US. China never makes fuss about that! So it's OK for Chinese joining US compete in Olympics but it's not OK the other way around??

She’s either a cynical hypocrite or very naive. She said in response to her having access to Instagram when other Chinese citizens do not that they can just get a vpn. Uhhh, no. She wants to have it both ways but no other Chinese citizens can have what she has so what is she really representing? I guess maybe she’ll just show how corrupt the elites are? I don’t see how the leaders of that regime have thought through how this will play out…not she herself

I just hope she doesn’t end up in the hell peng shuai found. I suspect it’s a lot bigger gamble than she thinks to be a party mascot.
