| I think the athletes should go, but you don’t have to attend in person and spend money in the country if you don’t want to. |
| The athletes train very hard. They can participate if they want and I will watch. |
Going into China these days is extremely risky on so many levels. Why risk your life under that regime? |
You have no idea WTH you’re talking about |
Do you believe China is safe for people who are strongly opposed to the current practices of the oppressive Communist Chinese Government? |
You're an idiot. Sheesh. |
Um yes you clown. Much safer than merica |

Wasn’t the initial intent of the Olympics was to provide respectful competition between athletes without politics involved? Perhaps the people of China would see this as an olive branch and expand some of the values beyond the Olympics.

| How about this OP: I will not WATCH the olympics on TV this year. The best thing that could happen is that the ratings absolutely crash. |
| I think the Chinese Communists are quite enjoying their system of slavery. And that dumb “anti-slavery” Americans continue to look the other way. LOL!!!! |
| Will American participants be allowed to take their cell phones into China? |
Right- Beijing’s only competition in the late stages was, wait for it, Almaty. The IOC is corrupt itself but they really need to step back and rethink the demands being placed on host countries. Politics aside, Beijing is really a terrible destination for the Winter Olympics to begin with. There continues to be a decent pool of candidates for the summer Olympics but winter is really getting to be slim pickings. Milan has it for 2026, maybe Stockholm will try again for 2030. |
| I wish we could boycott, but this will hurt the athletes. |
Not me. I love the Olympics. |
