Boys bring more revenue to the Club. Why not?

The quiet part out loud.

That doesn't make sense. Girls pay the same fee boys do. Same amount of profit per player.

When SYC doesn't invest as much as they do into the boys, the best girls leave by U14, U15. A simple investment could change that.

SYC doesn't care.

Loisdale is a county field. It does not belong to SYC first of all. The field is in an odd and kind of hidden location too.

Recently a disturbed man was asked to leave the field and before he left (police was called) he broke a tripod camera.

Then, you always see men lurking/hanging around waiting for space for pick up games. In many instances, coaches have had to ask these groups of men to leave the field during our permit hours.

Since you're with SYC in some capacity, if you're going to defend them, and you're there quite often to see a disturbed man break a tripod camera, please explain the circumstances. Tripod camera? That must've been during a game, unless SYC is now taping training sessions for boys and not girls.

Give it a rest angry soccer mom. Just leave syc.

Im not associated with either the club or team. I do think the way people are "marketing" them is setting them up for disaster in the end. As for the field issue Just be grateful the cops swing by to keep an eye out for anything wrong whether its for kids or anyone elses kids. Its not about well they get this and we only get this. Be grateful for anything you have because its more than what others get. In the end none of the kids currently in the SYC program will play for the national team. dont let the hype or the hate consume your life. without an acknowledgement or reaction the hype isn't there.

Although chances are slim with any player on which ever league its mentioned, you are IGNORANT for making such a blanket statement like that. Obviously your kid didn't make the team, or you are just on a B, C, or D team parent on some other league who whishes your kid was good. Haters will always hate.

SYC 08 boys pretty impressive finish, only behind the MLS clubs. Another ignorant statement by a parent who has crappy kid.

Be realistic my man. Your kid can be the best player at SYC and he's still below average. Its not personal its reality. Same goes for Arlington Loudoun McLean etc.

How did they do without guest players? I see they dipped pretty dramatically as the season went on and wondered whether they were missing dual-rostered players from Manassas and elsewhere for those matches.

By the way, no shade intended - I agree with your general point. But the club’s credibility takes hits when we see guest players obviously rostered elsewhere showing up for major SYC matches.

Congrats Coach ST. Knows how to develop and get kids to win. How about EM's team, the U14? Scored five goals? All breakaways or free kicks?

tbh though, they traveled to Texas to play against competition they beat 6-0? Heck, they've gotten more competitive games around here lol.

No need to worry. Samba Boys got beat in their second game 1-4 by a team from New Jersey, which lost its first game 2-10. Tomorrow they will play the team that beat New Jersey team.

Wow, they bounced back and defeated that previously undefeated team 3-2... but despite three teams in the group winning twice and losing once, the Samba Boyz finished third in the group. No Bethesda match-up I guess.

I take that back... based on the point/seeding structure they could still make the top bracket as a wildcard.
