Not Aguirre, Chapman, or Jackson. They supported high density redevelopment at the Heritage, on the grounds of supply, affordability, and whatever else, despite the objections of local (white) residents.

But when it comes to a site of dilapidated homes, right next to the Braddock Metro, and in the neighborhood plan for over a decade, all of a sudden they’re against it, because of the objections of local (black) residents.

I don’t care that they want to take back their original votes. What’s done is done. Worse they may have done irreparable harm to race relations in the city.

It’s not the top issue, but as avid cyclist, I checked out Seminary Road a while back.

I don’t know any cyclist who would use that route. It’s busy, even with lanes, and with a lot of elevation change.

I also don’t know anyone who would choose to bike or drive on King Street. Use Cameron or Prince (or preferably just South of Duke).

Lastly I don’t think every street needs a boulevard wide cycle lane for all of two people. Transportation requires transporting the most people, in the most efficient way possible. In most areas bicycle lanes and buses for that matter don’t actually do that, based on actual use.

It's ridiculous that she's the best the Republican Party could come up with and they couldn't even find someone who really lives here. It seems like she's being used as a pawn. There is no way she can win.

It’s ridiculous that the supposedly non-partisan city council is a single party state. Every local source repeats, accurately, the Democrat Primary is the election. They admit that it’s not a democracy.

It won’t happen, without a lawsuit, and only with racial/voting rights act representation, but council districts would make at least the current council more responsive.

Even non partisan, certain members have their city wide base, and ideological factions that they can afford to offend a cluster of blocks without consequence. It would also focus voters on issues that actually affect them. Not some non issue about stream rehabilitation, or for or against a bicycle lane.

It's not available to the public. He was caught on security cameras or CCTV (whatever you call it) outside the bar where he assaulted her. It was widely reported it was on video. There is a police report, he was charged, he took a plea bargain. AND HE PLED GUILTY. He did it. He is not suitable to serve. Violence against women is unacceptable in all accounts.
