Are you talking about the girls Phoenix (Red) teams or the NCSL (Black and below) teams? Actually it doesn’t matter. The girls side is imploding under Michel Vanderhart and Kevin James. Michel is not a kind person. He has his favorites and only coaches them. Everyone else he ignores. He told his 06 Phoenix girls who were trying out for HS soccer they should only play if they make varsity. That playing JV is a waste of time, much like playing for the 06G Black team. Then when his team tied their game this past weekend he told all his JV players they could not go to their JV practices bc it was making them worse. And they can not miss even one Red practice. Girls are literally fleeing Vienna bc of him. Don’t know much about the boys side, but the girls side is a disaster.

They only have 2 06G girls teams. So 2nd equals BOTTOM. But that’s all on Kevin James (Technical Director) and Coach Michel V (Girls Director and 06G Phoenix Coach). They are assholes and have NEVER given any team but the top Red team resources and proper training. The ECNL Girls program under Coach Michel is imploding. Players are leaving Vienna left and right. It’s a total dumpster fire.

I figure you have a grudge and that is fair.
But didn't the girls' side win 5 of the VPL state cups recently? I mean you can argue that it isn't "The State Cup" but it also isn't imploding. It is successful.
The boy's older side is where the implosion is occurring.

I wouldn’t say a grudge. But my daughter left the 06G Red team after last year bc of Coach Michel. She was sick of being yelled at and belittled at every game and practice. I’m actually shocked he hasn’t been fired for Safe Sort violations bc of how badly he bullies SOME of his players. He does have his favorites. Believe me when I say that whatever success they have had is a thing of the past. Half the Red Phoenix teams are leaving. Especially the girls from Coach Michel’s teams. He’s going to try to bring girls up from Black but 90% have flat out said they won’t play for him. I don’t know about the boys side but the girls side is absolutely imploding. And the girls who stay with Vienna are going to regret it. I actually feel bad for the parents who don’t see the writing on the wall.

Absolutely. They will take anyone, some without even trying out and dump them on teams without Coaches having a chance to evaluate them. It’s just wrong.

The girls' teams are very successful I don't see that as imploding.

I hate to say this but he is right about HS.
Coaching in HS is horrible and they mostly play long ball and run.
My local HS coaches wouldn't know a good soccer player if they saw him/ her. Though, that is a separate conversation.

Like I said that’s a thing of the past. Everyone will see it by the end of the 2021 fall season.
