I’ve watched GG twice and love it. But living in NYC in your twenties in the real world means 3 roommates in a 2 bedroom apartment in a walk up. I wish I could live in NYC as a 25 year old with Serena’s money 😀

Even so, NYC in your twenties is pretty damn awesome.

I only watched maybe 20% of the episodes -- but didn't the Humphrey Family live in a gigantic Brooklyn loft or something? That must have been worth several million dollars.

Yeah I always thought that part was weird. I assume Rufus bought it in the 90s when it wasn’t as expensive. He does try to sell his gallery and I think his loft when Dan wants to go to Yale but Dan stops his dad. Lily also tries to secretly pay for Dan to go to Yale but Rufus won’t let her. I don’t understand why they didn’t have them all go to Columbia instead of NYU. I hated that storyline (and dislike Vanessa).

Serena had daddy issues and made bad romantic choices. Surprised Blair would too.

How was her relationship with chuck abusive? It’s obviously dramatized but they have an insane chemistry and understanding of each other. When chuck crossed lines, she created boundaries. Blair didn’t settle for less than she was worth.

He hit her/cut her face when she told him she was engaged.

No he didn’t he hit the wall and it broke and cut her face.

I just finished the series. Did anyone else get the feeling that Ed Westwick might’ve actually liked Leighton in real life? I know they’re acting, but he just seemed naturally into her. More so than she was to him (though she was iconic in her role.)

Oh I hadn’t noticed that but I hope it’s true! I wouldn’t blame him, she’s gorgeous

I dont think so. The actor Ed Westwick dated Jessica Szohr (Vanessa on the show) in real life.

I watched a few seasons of it for the first time. It was getting tired when they are in college so I stopped. Is it worth it to continue? The narrator's voice is super annoying, "hey gossip girls..."

I'm going to say no because I found the ending / GG reveal to be so disappointing (and really just not even necessary) that I wish I had never finished.

I think the gg reveal is besides the point. In the book series, it’s just a narrator. It was stupid that they revealed it at all on the show because it had no impact on the story/plots. I wouldn’t not watch it for that reason. I loved it otherwise.
