Just for fun, how rich are the characters on this show? What about social classes? Who is supposed to be old money vs new money. Also how poor can the Humphries really be? Rufus must be worth at least 5-6 mil.

I love this show.
I watched it at 39 years old (for the first time). No way would I let my teen watch it (I don’t have teens); it was so saucy and risqué. But I loved it.

You know what always irritated me? How much Serena always said, "I don't know," as if she wasn't in charge of her own decisions and life.

Did you guys see Chuch Bass on the Oxford Union youtube channel? All the students just wanted him to talk about GG and you could tell he just wanted to scream "I'm NOT Chuck Bass!"

Probably through her dad. Remember she did not want to be like her mom. Her dad was a lawyer. Chuck was definitely new money though. He had more money than all of them because of his dad dying. He had enough money to pay off Blair’s dowry so her family wouldn’t go bankrupt.

Not as old as Nate and Serena but definitely older than Blair. Perfect excuse for me to go rewatch for the 100th time.
