The Official Jill Biden Style and Fashion Thread

I’ve repeatedy opined kn the Trump thread that there’s no place for peplum but this actually is not terrible (although I still wouldnt wear it). Three reasons why: 1) she has no hips; 2) the suit is otherwise very plain/conservative so a little flounce isn’t too frilly; and 3) it fits her so the peplum isn’t riding up on her the way it always does with Ivanka.

Don’t like the peplum. It is too much material for her. She would look better in something more like a fitted suit. Even sleeves are too long in that dress.

Peplum makes her look wide and as if she has a tummy.

She's pretty, healthy, appropriately dressed, and--most refreshingly--just looks genuinely happy.

Except for the leather-like dress, I think her style is very relatable. Agree that she looks great for her age - I also thought she was much younger than Joe.

This thread is so effing boring compared to the Trump women thread.

This made me Lol! So true! Because she’s a normal person who doesn’t have her “kidneys” on display.

PS I’m always going to wonder who the kidney poster is in real life.

Interesting note, she was born Jill Jacobs, but her family Americanized their Italian name Giacoppo when they came to this country. She will be the first Italian-American first lady! Woohoo!

Thar’s funny because I was wondering how a Jill Jacobs was a Catholic girl. Now that you mention it, I wonder if she has Italian Jewish ancestry.
Only the second Catholic president....

Many Italians do, I think,. have some Jewish ancestry, even if small amounts.

I know, I've posted 2 of the 5 or so pictures on this thread. So lame.

She does look fantastic, turns 70 in June.

Agreed she looks fantastic but the hairstyle - length and bangs seem a little inappropriately young to me.

Is there a rule against bangs after a certain age?

LOL only if your are a dowdy DC frump.

This makes sense - and explains the rocking body, great hair and exuberant personality, or at least the ability to smile and be warm and engaging. I have a few (Northern) Italian friends, and they don't seem to let anything bother them. Are there many Italians in the D.C. area? Is Jill Northern or Southern Italian? I am asking because my Italian friends seem to think that Southern Italians are not Italians, but what do I know. She is light, so I am assuming she is Northern Italian.

She dresses and looks much better (healthier) than any WASP I know.

There is a lot of poverty, unemployment, and lack of educational opportunity in the South. Your friends are classist a-holes at best...a lot of Sicilians can trace back their DNA back to northern Africa, so if they hate them specifically, they are racist.
