I mentioned Sequoia above, but the Land Cruiser is another great choice, although it's quite a bit more expensive. But it is a much nicer vehicle than the Sequoia, especially the interior.

Yes, a Land Cruiser is the way to go. Great car that lasts forever.

Land Cruiser is what I would want on Safari. Unbeatable SUV.

We were going to get one of these. And then we test drove it. Awful.

So much depends on your neighborhood and the company you keep. If you live in a rich neighborhood then Lexus considered somewhat low key. If not then Honda Pilot. Honda Pilot is the best car I have ever bought in 20 years.

To me Lincoln Navigator and the Cadillac Escalate always seem to say “ we have two homes dear and a lot to carry around “
Suburban is the same but cheaper.

Every BMW I’ve driven is a pos. Mercedes and audis are ok. None are worth the money.

Toyota Landcruiser is hidden wealth. Many people don't even know it is almost a $100k car when you include optional features.

I want a Suburban and live in DC but all the moms in suburban MD will think I’m a country yokel. What do you think I should do?

I recall the rich bitch I worked with saying she is forced to buy a Suburban. With front bench option only nine passenger SUV made.

She has four kids, a husband, nanny and her parents. Sometimes when she goes to beach house she must take her nanny and often her parents so they can babysit as poor nanny can’t work 24/7 when they go out without kids. Ultimate humble brag move.

Very true. I just wish they kept it updated more frequently.

Toyota Landcruiser without question. Tremendous construction and finishes. Great ride. Built to last 25 years. Try to find a used one. People rarely ever sell them.

Landcruiser is being discontinued after 2021 model year in the US. Nobody buys these things, PPs are trying too hard.

Before the car companies started chasing bigger profits and killing the planet we all managed just fine with cars.

But all of the marketing has convinced everyone they need SUVs - don't want to be showy - show some common sense and get a mid size car.

This is so true.
