I think I’m a crappy mom and doubting my ability to parent.

I once put my kid in his stroller, and wheeled it into the bathroom so I could talk to him from behind the shower curtain while I showered. I kept the bathroom door open during that age so he could see me and not freak out. Best advice I have is to go outside in the morning for an hour and make sure your child walks/crawls around. I played with my child constantly, and then had time during his nap to relax. They really want our love and attention at that age.

Don’t have a second - once we had a second, we wondered why on earth we thought one was so hard. Stop nursing if you’re over it. 16 mos is long enough / great work. Sleep or nap train. Let your husband put him to bed, it’s fine if he cries sometimes. Do you want to get stuck in the pattern of being the default parent forever?

Buck up. It’s hard, but you’re not helping matters.
