You are jealous that your team or kid is not invited to JC. In the current circumstances is ironic to expect that teams from other states would be participating. If JC goes on this year it is logic that under the current circumstances it has a different format. But it seems that only smart people have the brain to understand it. |
What?!?!!, Not invited? Laughable. They are certainly thrilled that anyone even applied. |
Why r you jealous then? |
Ummm, I'm not jealous but you seem to think this tournament is some kind of elite honor. You should temper your expectations. |
Jealous of what? This is not Jeff Cup. Guess what, I am not jealous of Ice Breaker or Loudoun Cup either. |
R U gonna tell little Mia this is not really Jeff Cup or let that slide? |
| Sssshh...buy Mia the f’ing tshirt and don’t say sh*t. Bobby will set the record straight on Twitter! That’s how we roll. |

They really just need to cancel it and save us from ourselves:

You seem to have lost track of the conversation above. My response was in response to someone saying that in the U16 bracket there are a bunch of teams that were in the original 3-4 brackets (from march)...... and someone said top 3-4 brackets are week. Yes, in some tourneys 3rd or 4th bracket are weak but not in the original Jeff Cup. |
There are some goods teams yes, but overall it is very much down (first time responding to this thread). |
yes. i agree with that. its a kick off under the jefferson cup name. |
| Why are the top local teams and college coaches not going to the fall event? |
COVID-19 |

Why are people so hung up on the "Kick off" not being the same level off JefCup. Let me help you understand. First, these teams already paid to do the 2020 JefCup, which was cancelled. The option now is not to do the kick off and have that money go to waste or do the kick-off even if the competition is not on the same level of JefCup. JefCup is not returning the entry fee. Second, kids have not played soccer since early March. Who knows when they will get the chance to play again or if this tournament will even taken place. Do you play now, even though the competition is not the same as JefCup or do you take your chances and reject the Kick off and wait until leagues start? DD's club is playing at the Kick off. The competition is actually pretty good and is spread out. Outside of Bethesda and JefCup, most tournaments would have similar placement.
So I don't understand the moronic comments. This is an opportunity to play against solid competition but no one is saying this is ECNL Nationals. This is a local tournament with strong local teams. . |
| Kids want to play and are excited about playing. Parents living vicariously are obsessed with the level of competition |
