Are you watching, LS parents? Get ready to grab your ankles.

What do you mean LS parents? Aren’t they used to being destroyed from the rear?

No, those would be the FCV parents.

Email sent to team managers said "had to prematurely cancel Girls Fall Kickoff", but then talks about refunding teams from the March 2020 cancellation.

Actually FCV parents are usually on their knees.

Never seems so many adults happy to see a tourney get canceled. Don’t you have a life?

Not so much that parents are happy about players not getting to play but more that we can make plans to enjoy the summer. The reason so many teams from March pulled out has more to do with summer plans and school tryouts than COVID. Given that school sports are cancelled, we can now plan some type of get-away.

Lots of mid August soccer tournaments in the past. Soccer is normally kicking into gear by this time. This is a Covid thing not a “summer plans” thing.

Let me put it this way. If cancelling a half assed, thrown together tournament in August lessons the exposure of kids and parents then perhaps we ALL can have some form of a fall season.

As has been said before many times, have your club organize some local scrimmages for the cost of a field rental.

They might have cancelled due to COVID but parents are happy to have a weekend not watching games in oppressive heat and humidity. We already have plans for a more relaxing weekend.

Unless you live in MoCo or PGCo.
