Should kids wear masks in stores?

I think both are fine but still interesting to see the contrast.

My reaction would be the opposite because I'm assume the grocery store was essential and for some reason the child had to come so it's not safe but it's reality, whereas the bookstore I'd think why on earth couldn't you just stay home? These people are the reason our kids aren't going to school in the fall, so thanks for that!

No. Any type of shopping is about a 4-5 on the risk scale. A high risk activity is something like eating indoors in a restaurant, attending a crowded church service, etc. Basically any event that puts you within 6’ of a person for 10 minutes or more.

Signed,

Take my 3 kids age 18 months, 4 years, and 7 years to stores all the time

The rest of the world mandated one family to do the families shopping. The entire family was not dragged around into stores.

The ignorance is astounding.

Not every family has two adults. When my kids were very young, my husband was active duty military and often deployed. If something like this had happened during that time, I would have no choice but to "drag my kids" into stores with me.

Well, you would have had a choice not to "drag" your kids into a totally nonessential bookstore to browse during a pandemic...

Lol we’re done with the “essential” / “non-essential” stuff. Get with the times.
