How come luck is not often mentioned as part of a successful marriage?

I married an identical twin. If I had married his twin we would have divorced within weeks.

You did not marry her husband and that has nothing to do with luck.

I'm the PP who made the statement at the top of this quote-thread. I hadn't seen these responses until just now when I stumbled back across the thread. I just want to thank both of the people who responded to this for bringing me a moment of genuine mirth in the middle of a pandemic. Five stars, would recommend. I'm dying.
