No I think they were EDP for the top team and CCL2 for the second team.

I think SYC could very easily be in GA/MLS, no saying that the will, but it would make sense for those leagues to set up shop in an the area only represented ECNL.

Come on, let's be fair...

Based on last fall, their boys' U17 (2003) and U16 (2004) teams did ok in EDP. The competition was kind of "meh," but they won most of their games. Looks like their 2003s drew with Arlington's 2003s--and while I understand that this isn't an Arlington DA team (in spite of their use of the word "academy"), that's the team that Arlington would have entered into the MLS league had they chosen to stay.

The 05 boys were pretty awful in EDP. Lost every game against decent competition. They had some success in tournaments, though. That's kind of strange... Winning in tournaments but getting beaten throughout the season. Maybe injury issues? Poor coaching (not having the players prepared to play each week)?

Either way, if I'm listing possibles for an MLS league and I see that record, that's a no from me. The whole point of the MLS league was to raise the level of competition throughout the season and have more "meaningful games."

For the MLS league, is entry based on club or team?

The league is only 15 and 17 age groups so would think club wouldn't mean as much. And you have to figure the move to the MLS league would drive more talent to those clubs.
