They should be believed if their account is believable. If a woman says your house is on fire and you can see it's not, it doesn't mean you have to call 911.

You are full of it. Own it.

Say the one who voted for the pu$$y-grabber.

Hypocrite you are.

As Democrats, we either support women or not. Obviously not.

This. It’s not too late to let Bernie be nominee, is it? If media and Dems don’t sweep this under the rug and really go after Biden. Force Vuden to withdraw? Bernie has never had any sexual misconduct accusation thrown at him. What, exactly, do we stand for if we sweep this under the rug?

Neither has Biden until now. Don't be so sure your boy wouldn't face the same had he been the nominee.

Biden has been known to inappropriately touch/be too touchy with women. Until now, everyone swept it under rug and brushed it aside “for the greater good” of defeating Trump.

Sad to think Biden was the best we could do in terms of nominee. Damn apologists for bad behavior.

Trump didn't come on the scene until 2016. So everyone swept it under the rug for 35+ years of Biden's career to defeat Trump? That doesn't even make sense.

Exactly. And Biden has addressed his touchiness and apologized. It truly was a different era. I am SO GLAD that we have progressed and this is no longer acceptable in the workplace, but it WAS acceptable and normal back than. I entered the professional workforce in the late 90s. Looking back, I could accuse at least 15 of the men in my office of sexual harrassment/touchiness - shoulder rubs, touching my hair, sexual comments, commenting on my body and talking about other girls' bodies to me or in my presence. They also did stuff to each other, such as giving each other titty twisters. They were my good friends, many of them still are. I did not feel violated at the time which is sad, really. It was so normal at the time that I just expected and accepted it. I have 2 teenage daughters and I am glad that things are changing.

Meanwhile, Joe will be running with a woman as his VP. And Joe has stuck his neck out for women time and again. He's pushing pro-woman policies, like paid maternity leave and the ERA.

Joe has a flimsy allegation hanging over his head. Any man who has been in politics for 40+ years will probably have a similar person with a flimsy allegation. C'est la vie.

It's really not a hard choice for Democrats and self-respecting women in 2020. Everyone expects this rat-f#ckery from Republicans.

This. Earlier it was emails and Benghazi, born in Kenya, Swiftboat, Florida recount, and on and on.

Republicans just need the thinnest of reasons to vote for Trump, especially amongst women who voted for Trump last time. Whether true or not, this allegation provides that reason. In their eyes, this levels the playing field for conservatives between Biden vs Trump regarding treatment of women. I expect this to get louder and louder as we head to the election.

This is not about Republicans, people.

It’s about whether Bernie supporters and Independents will go to the polls to vote for scummy Biden. I think not.

Those who don't want to die because of Trump's incompetence and grift will! (Hopefully!)

At. All.

He is lying and now trying to cover it up.

And you believe the lying sack of shit, Trump? Biden is a saint in comparison to Trump.

We do not need anymore devastating republican policies. Vote Blue no matter who!

Independent here. I will still vote for Biden. No one is worse that Trump.

Mark my words, by election day in November, Biden will NOT be the D candidate.

This is a set up to get rid of him, because even the Dems know he can't win. Question is, who do they have in mind to take his place?

Just watch.

This is about rethuglicans who only care about the 1% and der Trump is the leader of them.

Vote Blue no matter who! Every vote counts so do not waste it by not voting or voting for some 3rd party candidate.

Independents are basically moderate Democrats. Really, when was the last time you voted Republican?

Bernie supporters will sit it out.

I agree that was the only slightly weak part of the interview. Nonetheless, the obvious likely explanation is that many of those old policy position papers are dated by today's standards, and it would be like the busing discussion raised by Kamala Harris all over again. A political distraction and not relevant.

Sorry, but no. I cannot vote for that senile creep. I will sit this one out or go 3rd party.

I believe her but the Trump campaign would be idiots to put sexual harassment in the forefront of election issues because while what happened to Tara Reade was wrong, Trump’s treatment of women is atrocious. As a woman in my 40s, the workplace in the early 90s was largely a free for all when it came to sexual harassment.. pat on the ass, squeeze of the waist, leering down your chest and aggressive passes we’re not uncommon. I am not excusing the conduct, I am just saying it was more common place then one might believe and how many might, as a result, view it in a different light than if it were today. I am voting for Joe.

This could backfire big time on republicans. Any reasonable moderate or independent who takes a serious look into the Reade allegations will realize that they need to take an equal look at allegations against Trump...

Those of us who are old enough to remember pantyhose can verify that they were constricting enough to practically cut off circulation. It is hard to imagine that he was able to reach up her skirt and inside pantyhose far enough to penetrate. Especially while standing up in a hallway where someone could have walked by at anytime.

I'm from that generation and I remember thigh highs. Don't you? They were all the rage,
Any plenty of women have worn stockings with a garter versus actual pantyhose. Some do for health reasons.
