Pro or anti gun does not matter here. My hands can't kill a man but a gun can (which is why we want stricter gun laws and less guns on the street). In fact, if I had to rely on my hands for self defense I would be in trouble. I would have a fighting chance with a gun as opposed to my bare hands.

We have guns. My DH is former military and now FBI. He knows how to shoot and so do I. You make a big assumption when you believe calling 911 will help. No way they will get to your house in time. Last time a dude held a gun to my head, I told him to go ahead and shoot me if he had the balls. He didn't. I am female, 5'3", and I only carry a knife. Won't use it unless I have to. Most people will back off you, at least in my experience, and I've been in some dangerous situations. Not as a cop. I walked on the other side of the tracks. Got my education on the streets.
I could slit someone's throat if they tried to accost me and watch their soul leave their body and I would feel no remorse.
