You cannot protect yourself from criminals with a gun. Period. Stop falling for the gun lobby BS. You already have much more effective improvised weapons at your disposal. Use them. A baseball bat or flashlight is far more effective.

of course 911 would be our first call. But if someone is truly threatening us in our home, my husband would be plenty dangerous with his baseball bat as a former baseball player.

Pro or anti gun does not matter here. My hands can't kill a man but a gun can (which is why we want stricter gun laws and less guns on the street). In fact, if I had to rely on my hands for self defense I would be in trouble. I would have a fighting chance with a gun as opposed to my bare hands.

just stop with your lies. More than 80 somethings are dying. Lots of them. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to who lives and who dies. I do plan to give a big portion of what comes to us from the gov't to food banks to try to help those who desperately need it right now. But I still believe that the government has to provide for people right now - it is their damn job when they shut down businesses.

PS I do NOT work at a cushy law firm job or drive an XC90. My job at a small nonprofit is probably going to be cutting my hours and likely won't be here by the end of this month. Thanks for playing.

There is not going to be any looting of homes. If people have to loot anything they will go for stores that is full of food and pharmacies for meds. Besides, going out means that you have a higher chance of getting infected. And you do not know if the person whose house you go to is not infected. I am sure no one cares for my ethnic eating habits either and if they try and steal my food, then, well good luck trying to cook the beans and other stuff. Besides, I have ToTo so there will be hardly any TP.

During the Black Death, when rich people died, their homes were open and people could see the riches inside but no one went inside to loot them because of the contagion.

The chance of getting robbed will be probably at ATMs and through online spam and catfishing. You just need to sit tight and monitor your online accounts etc. Lock down all that shit and have only one credit card that is available. Ask for a temporary freeze on all other credit cards and accounts. I have only my cosctco card, paypal and Amazon still on. Make sure that your ATM card is not connected to your Debit card.
