It’s red for Valentine’s Day. The kids she visited are in hospital where everything hurts them and they are limited in enjoying themselves, if they can enjoy themselves at all.

Exactly. It wasn’t a coat- it was a threat. Melania wanted to subtly remind the kids of their own hot, wet, sticky red mortality. Definitely not a valentine heart, or Cupid, or a red heart chocolate box.

Ivanka’s highlights aren’t chunky so much as striped. And the first three of these articles all uniformly pan the look. When you’ve lost Refinery29 on a look, the look is too ugly and outre for anyone, especially someone who sells herself as an adult professional working in the WH.
