But it’s part of your medical history. They need to know. |
I have a catholic OB. I know someone who told her that she had six abortions just to test her. She was still professional. |
A d&c is one of the safest and most common surgeries done. And if you have complications from one it's right away (fever, more than normal bleeding etc...) it's not something you have complications from months or years down the line. So really of all the things that you NEED to share about your medical history this is pretty low on the list. |
| I went to Michele Klein at CWC and disclosed a previous abortion in college, then she referred me to a clinic when I had another one in my early 20s. No judgment. Continued under her/CWC care for ten more years including having my first baby. |
Not true. My ob is Jewish and affiliated with HC. He’s liberal and extremely supportive. |

Northern Virginia Physicians to Women are good. Quick and efficient- not super cuddles but fine. I had a loss not under their care (was a patient but seeing an MFM) and had a D and C. They did not say anything except to note 2 pregnancies, one live birth. You could phrase it that way and note you had a D&C if you did. That’s all they need to know. Why does not matter.
Doc is probably just a horrible person but if case not. Maybe she is trying to get pregnant and has been trying for years and can’t and is having a hard time that you terminated when she can’t. Despite pregnancy not being a zero sum game and actions impacting others, when you suffer from infertility it can feel that way. No idea if that is what is happening but trying to extend grace for why they would say something horrible to you. But for sure find a new practice. |
Scar tissue. Your ob needs to know your full medical history. |
| Sorry this happened, OP. Recommend Dr. Candice Jones-Cox at Women's Health Specialists. |
Thanks but it looks like they are just gyn not ob. |
