The doctor will not longer see her as a patient. How would OP be perceiving something that isn’t there?

But maybe the termination has nothing to do with that. It could be for other reasons. Unless the doctor told her that he won’t see her again because she had an abortion, I find it very hard to believe that this is the reason he won’t see her anymore.

OP literally said "my doctor won't see me anymore because of this" and you are hijacking the thread to insist that she is 1) imagining that she was fired as a patient, or in the alternative 2) imagining the reason she was fired as a patient ... why, exactly? What do you have to gain by calling her a liar?

Any doctor who is good will not judge you or pry into anything you would not like to discuss.

Up to you whether you want to bring your records they are yours so your choice.

This. I go to the one at holy cross physicians building and they are lovely. The docs and the staff. For docs, dr DelNinno is great as is dr Khoury and Coates. But I've see them all at that office for two children. In fact I transferred from a different provider because I didn't like how they treated me during and after my miscarriage. Capital women's care was and is so much better with bedside manner things, including the scheduling staff and nurse call line.

Op here. To be fair, I really really like my doctor and I am sad about it honestly. So no, I will not say the name of the doctor. The exact words were "unfortunately I don't feel comfortable seeing you as a patient anymore but would be happy to refer you to someone else in the practice". I can't go to that office even to see a different doctor anymore though, because I'd see my pervious doctor and I don't want to continuously feel like I'm being judged.

But I am happy to know this isn't the norm.

OP, I haven’t run anything like this by anyone I’ve worked with, so I have no advice for you, but just wanted offer support. It’s horrifying that happened to you and I really hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly without any surprise judgement to mess with you! <3

What are the odds OP is a troll looking for names of doctors to harass?

If I am wrong, OP I am so sorry this happened to you.

No absolutely not the norm.

Switch practices. MD's are in the customer service business as much as they are in the "Medical Business". It is their job to make you comfortable and provide excellent medical care, not judge you.

Do not waste any more time thinking of this practice. There are so many more out there.

They are an openly pro-life practice. They tell you it upfront and if you don't agree, you can go elsewhere. Not sure what makes you sick about it.

+1
If a doctor in the DC area had to recuse themselves of any patient that had had an abortion they would have very few patients left. On top of that, if they have religious issues there are practices that are very pro-life and upfront about that that they can join.
OP if this happened to you I'm very sorry but it's not the norm.

Not trolling-but thanks. And I don't think the problem is that I've had one-I think the problem is that I had one while they were my doctor. It's kind of a complicated situation.

In medical terms, all terminations of pregnancy are referred to as an abortion, including a miscarriage. (eg, I had a D&c after an “incomplete spontaneous abortion”).

Yeah I was shocked when I saw the terminology on my D&C EOMB after a miscarriage; it made cry.

Anonymous wrote:Thanks you guys. My previous obgyn won't see me anymore because of this so that is why I was concerned. And it's a CWC doctor. Do you think in general a female would be understanding/supportive? And do You think I can basically say I had a d&c and leave it at that?

You need to report this doctor.

Honestly, shocked and appalled a CWC doctor would do that. How do they even practice in the DC area? They must turn away so many patients. I think you should report this to CWC higher ups. To me that's just unacceptable. So sorry that you felt judged, but I do think in this area those opinions are the extreme minority.

I would be honest with your medical history. Again, nothing to be ashamed of and it's best to be honest with your medical care providers.
