Office restrooms

I am laughing SO hard that this was your first (and probably current) impression of what it’s like in the government.

I am not paid to clean toilets. That's the cleaning ladies job.

I will not touch the seat so I hover. I was warned not to flush the wet wipes. I place them to the side on the floor for pickup.

They don't have a receptacle for pads and such in the stalls?????

Those "cleaning ladies" despise you and talk about you after work.

Do you really think I care if some Guatemalan janitor gossips about me?

+1. What do I care what they say/think.

Is it actual fecal matter or just black/dark brown smudges? Is anyone in your office really overweight? I wonder if it's a sort of accumulated body oils/sweat that occur where the buttocks and thighs meet. It gets on toilet seats and is dark brown in color. Usually someone who is overweight is aware of this and cleans after themselves or always uses a toilet seat cover.

OMG I was already about to throw up from the mental picture of some disgusting pig "hovering" over a toilet to poop and letting things get "untidy" and thinking it's fine. And now this. Seriously, if anyone is leaving dark brown smudges on your toilet seat and trying to justify it away as just (?!) "accumulated body oils" (?!) then yeah, no. You're being had. And if someone really *was* that gross that they were literally a walking sewer, then I hope they'd be able to figure out a WFH gig so the rest of us didn't need to share facilities with them.

This is disgusting. What kind of person leaves brown smudges and claims it’s from body oil? Take a shower then! Or lose some weight!

you are an idiot and/or racist

not the PP, but HOW is this a racist statement! it's completely culturally based. Stop trying to neutralize all of the differences we humans have due to being raised in different countries and/or cultures! You sound paranoid and ignorant.

Definitely someone who is very untraveled. Head to a National Park, they have those signs in every bathroom.

In my workplace, the ladies would have you potty trained in a week.

Yes. That is their job. To clean up any mess that I or anyone else might make. That’s why they get paid. If they don’t understand that or can’t accept their station in life, then they should reflect on their decisions that brought them to that point. I knew I didn’t want to be a janitor when was an adult, so I went to college. They didn’t, and now they clean toilets.

Cleaning toilets is not in my position description.

I hover, clean myself up using sterile wet wipes in my purse, sanitize my hands using purel from my purse, and go back to work. I am not risking touching the seat, handle, or public toilet paper with vaporized fecal material on it. Nope, I am not getting that on me! No way, no how.

Yes, I make a mess...everyone does. It's human nature. If using the bathroom after me is so upsetting, find a different stall.

It is not "human nature" to blow your guts out all over the toilet, floor, wall, etc for someone else to deal with while carefully sanitizing yourself. It's YOUR "fecal material" -

So you make a toilet stall unusable until the cleaning staff come and then you create unsanitary conditions for the cleaning staff to deal with because that‘s their “station in life?”

I made a comment upthread that people who do this stuff in bathrooms are angry and passive aggressive. You couldn’t have proven the point any better.

If I were an HR manager and could track this problem, I would consider treating your coworkers and custodial staff this way to be a fireable offense.

They have access to your office when you aren't there. I'd be more worried about them "rinsing" your coffee mug and keyboard with the same mop they used to clean up your filthy mess in the stall.

Oh please. Don’t act all high and mighty - you probably per all over the seat and don’t wash your hands

This is why janitors exist. Use another stall.

Oh my god.

Forget this three gender thing with male, female and can’t figure it out.

We DO need three bathrooms - women, men and animals.

Because some of us are the children of those people who had to clean up after dirty white folk. We grow up hearing the stories that our parents told us. Then we grow up become educated and resent white people. We end up being your coworkers, your neighbors and we will view you as dirty pigs. Thanks for affirming why I don’t like white people.

You sound like the PP who posted almost exactly this same thing a few weeks ago and eventually turned out to be a troll. We still don’t believe you.

You were obviously raised by savages.

You are a disgusting pig, PP and an entitled one at that!

Sorry not sorry. I refuse to touch any part of the seat or toilet paper. I will hover and do my business, use my wipes and throw them on the floor so I don’t damage the plumbing. The cleaning ladies are there for a reason

At my kids' elementary school a couple of years ago, the saying "You are a brown turd" went around. You, PP, are a brown turd.

You have not been out of the area a lot? There are lots and lots of white janitors and "cleaning ladies," too. No, not in the DC area.

You are so racist.
