S/O at what age do men “hit the wall”?

24??? A 24 year old man looks like a baby to me.
This all depends on weight. I'm 38 and out of my friends' husbands, the ones who have kept their weight down still look great, better than they did in their 20s. The fat ones have already hit the wall.

This. I'd say mid/upper 30s is when men get that distinguished mature look that all women like. If they stay fit and not pudgy this is peak.

Brad Pitt in Ocean's 13 (Age 43). Still hot.

Brad Pitt in Moneyball (Age 38) is only appealing to a small minority of younger women who don't mind an older man. And then he needs money to compensate for what he has lost physically.

I agree - the peak Brad Pitt was Fight Club, but he was also great in River Runs through it at 30. I think he's still appealing, but I'm also older. My kids think he's ancient.

I have never cared for babyfaced men. Brad Pitt looked too young and too skinny early on his career. Just not my taste. Brad Pitt in Fight Club was perfection.

Most men peak in looks well before 35 but the best looking men to me are generally in the 35-45 age range. Give me the 40 year old version of Paul Walker over the 25 year old version. Please and thank you.

The bar is so low for men.

Honestly most men could look attractive by man standards by owning like 5 clothing items that fit properly, getting a decent haircut (even if balding -- men are allowed to be hot and bald), and exercising twice a week for about an hour. Like well into their 50s. They don't have to do skincare or get a six pack or wear three piece suits or uncomfortable shoes. Just keep your hair in line and figure out what your actually pant size it and don't be a total couch potato.

If a man is doing the above and there is no interest in him, he will get way more bang for his buck by working on his personality which is what women care much more about.

Which is what you care about much more. I care about looks and personality equally.

This is why there are so many men running around looking a hot mess in the first place: because they see and hear women downplaying the importance of looks.

My husband really aged lime fine wine until his mid 50s when sports related aches and pains caught up to him. Even now in his early 60s he’s pretty remarkable for a guy his age but wear and tear catches up to everyone. He does look better than other guys his age!
