I’d agree. Men can slide hard and fast in their late 20s

I dunno...there are a lot of hot guys in their 40's at my gym. A couple of hot 50's, too. Of course, I'm older and always liked guys in my age range. I think guys who stay fit and strong are hot, tbh.

My dad is 62 and he’s very fit with a full head of silver hair. He often drives my daughter to pre-school in his Porsche and many of the moms and teachers there think he’s hot. They should have seen him when he was in his 40’s. My mom is great looking too so I hope I inherited their age genes.

If he were showing up in a Camry, no one would give your dad a second look.

PP - sorry girls, google Richard Gere from about 15 years ago.

I think men age better than women. Ofc there are women in their 50s that look incredible without cosmetic surgery etc. There are certainly men that are "doughy" as other pp's said. Alcohol = bloat and I seem to see that mostly in guys. But overall men just age better imo. Genetics is the holy grail. - woman

Really, your dad at 62 looks like a movie star renowned for his looks did at 55? If that's true, he is a very rare unicorn, not evidence that men over 60 are a hot commodity.

Lol do DCUM men really think they’re like Richard Gere? Sorry guys, you don’t have his looks or money. I can argue all day long that J Lo looks damn good at 50, but it doesn’t mean most women look like her.

It’s hard to say. Some guys I’ve known started going bald and getting a paunch around their mid-20’s (news flash: pleated khakis do nothing for your man-hips); some men I know look amazing in their 50’s.

Well, fair is fair, every time there is a discussion of older women on DCUM, someone trots out an example of an older female actress who "still looks good".

PS those older actresses who "still look good" - it's all the makeup anyway. Case in point, J Lo:

Clint Eastwood is 89....

I have a friend who is 77 and he could pass for 50. He's in great shape, and still cuts down trees with his chainsaw. No wall for him, yet.

In my circle of professional mid-50s DC-area male friends, all the guys who got divorced ended up with younger, prettier, thinner, and more accomplished women. I'm going on a date with a 25 yo woman on Friday night.

I am a 44 year old man, considered tall, conventionally attractive and successful.

I think men peak in their late 30s. If they are up and coming or made it professionally. Usually still in good shape, good energy in and out of bedroom, and can command attention from women ages 23-? rather effortlessly.

Don't get me wrong, 44 is still good but its definitely on the downswing physically. And I definitely notice a drop in sexual attention from younger women. Face it, a 38 year old with a 25 year old is still in the realm of normal, not so at age 44. And there are plenty of great athletes still playing pro at 38. At 44? I really need Tom Brady to hang on!

So much depends on ethnicity. Certain groups superficially age much better than others. Melanin definitely helps skin elasticity. Some groups famously keep all their hair forever (aremenians . etc.

Inside, though, the body falls apart more quickly among certain ethnic groups. Kidneys/ heart health is directly related to erections. Vascular perfusion is really important to get and keep it up and, well, diabetes and kidney disease is no joke

You’d have to be delusional to think Clint Eastwood hasn’t hit the wall.

Basically, hot looking over 50 yr old man is as hard to find as over 50 hot looking woman.

So what if it's "just make up" (it's not! It's more than that!).
She still cares about how she shows up and that's a huge difference. You'd want a woman who didn't give up.
