What is your favorite dog breed? Why is that breed your favorite?

I 2nd the Vizsla. Mine is awesome. Very smart and loving. And while they are an active breed...they can also be couch potatoes.

I’m a devoted Sussex Spaniel fan. They are good family dogs that act like a big dog but are medium sized. Most of them also have a very cute penguin walk.

Golden retrievers. Perfect family dogs and so so beautiful. I love when their ears perk up and they tilt their head at you.

1st one lived to be 14 - on the 2nd one right now and he's 1 yr. Chews the crap out of everything but we love him. He;ll settle down in another year.

We just got our second coton du tulear: a 11 week old puppy ‘sister’ for our 2 yo dog. This one seems like it will be smaller than our 14lb, non-shedding fluff ball. Same happy personality though

Brittany Spaniels. Solely because I had one as my childhood dog and he stole my heart. They are so cute and bouncy and orange.

Best of both breeds.

I have one. Never again! Love him but never again. He is so hyper and his fur gets matted.

Chinese Crested. I have a powder puff (the version with fur) and think he's absolutely perfect. He doesn't shed, is hypo-allergenic, no doggie smell, biggest lap dog ever, he hardly barks, gets along with other animals. I also love his unusual look- he looks like a little pony with big ears.

Me too! I love my dachshund so much. I love all hounds really, but dachshunds just make me so happy.

I lucked into getting a half-Brittany mix about 10 years ago. He's an awesome dog! Still bouncing around at age 11.

Australian Shepherd - Blue Merle in my case. Smart, protective, playful, willful. Require so much exercise that you’ll lose weight keeping up!

Havanese. Best dog I've ever had. loyal, friendly, and will just lounge with you all day.

NP. I have a 2 year old Havanese that has been potty trained since about 4 months with no hard work from me. I agree on the Havanese. Hands down the snuggliest dog that I’ve ever had and she loves to sleep just like me! No shedding and very very playful. Love my girl!
